It's 7:45am and my autistic daughter, who normally wakes up in the middle of the night at least twice and is usually up at a quarter to 7 ready to conquer the world, is still asleep. I literally cannot remember the last time she slept this late. it's been years. I feel like blasting the hallelujah chorus and breaking out into a happy dance.

Better late than never - yesterday was the 18th anniversary of the day I asked my wife to marry me. Would have been nice to be AWAKE for that anniversary LOL.

Hope everyone with an inkling to do so is getting to play SOME poker, albeit online or live in a fishbowl.

I haven't played poker in the longest time since 2004.

I remember back in like '06 I went to Germany for a week and it was the longest I had gone in 2 years without playing poker. Now I am at 6 months or so.

When I got super depressed and cynical for a few months I finally got sick of playing poker in the wrong headspace. I switched to slots as some sick form of self abuse. Well, now that I'm in a better headspace, I really miss poker. The conundrum is that if I play poker I pretty much have to stay away from friends and family due to the 'rona.

Hi Always! I hope you got away from the slots. True story: In Latin American countries, a slot machine is called a tragamonedas. Literally trasnlated? Coin Swallower. I'm serious - they actually CALL those things coin swallowers. And people STILL flock to the casinos. "Let's go play the coinswallowers!"

I’ve been hiding from reality on the golf course. Kissed my mother goodbye today, sat down to play piano. I always begin with in my life by the Beatles, but this time was different. The tears made it hard to see the keys and I didn’t even realize until just now that I didn’t turn on the light.

Basically we got bad news a few weeks ago. I knew it was going to be hard. It hit me today.

i visited my sister in the city the other night. we dined on burritos and she cracked open a bottle of really good french red wine for me.

This little guy was creeping on my shoulder as I walked the 8th fairway a few days ago. He stayed long enough for a photo opportunity and then he was gone.

I’m not going to casinos any time soon. Haven’t been to encore yet. Been golfing often and the health benefits are amazing. Those 3 mile walks first thing in the morning transformed my cardio vascular system while my feet legs hips back shoulders and even hand strength are all performing at a very high level for a 205 lbs 40 year old man that smokes. I will examine this on break from rotation. So many people I know have jumped into Golf since COVID happened, I feel bad for them here though because winter is coming.

It is really difficult to find bike parts, I hear. It is hard to get an appointment for bike service around here. Outdoor sports seem to be booming. My orthopedic surgeon has told me not to ride in the snow, though I've done it a lot in the past. Should I listen to that quack?
