I have no idea how unlikely this is, but...

In the last 60 hours of live limit play I have seen 14 quads (2 of which were mine) at my table. I didn't keep track of how many included a pp.


To top it all off I had a drunk on the smoking patio insist on telling me his bad beat story of how he had just gotten bounced from his tourney when his boat ran into quads.

Wtf? Broken shuffle machine, right?

I get seated during Aces Cracked, which I'm "meh" about (a LOT of daytime regs show up for it and leave right when it ends). First hand I get AA and limp over limpers because I want to lose (in this 6-12 game, if you get aces cracked, you get $200). Flop is AAx. Pot is...not big.

Fast forward a week or so, and I limp over limpers with 55. Flop is 55x, I look up and it's 4:58p. High hand ($100 for quads starts at 5)

I had played at Foxwoods a few times randomly until 2012, when I happened to get a short term job helping a friend with his roof. I took the profits to the 4/8 table and each visit included seeing three sixes on the board at some point of every session for the next five or six visits. I don’t recall if quads were ever shown.

my takeaways from the super bowl:

The first down running game of the pats protected old man Brady. Can't sack him if he hands it off.

Excellent tackling on both sides.

Rams came out very physical in the first half, Patriots matched it.

The 4:2 and 4:3 defenses the Rams showed on 1st down were vulnerable to the no huddle spread, particularly in the 2nd half, but Bill protected Brady and the lead with the running game. Perhaps the good pats defense, the bad rams offense, and the score created a very safe path to the title for the pats by way of the running game.

Tony Romo makes a good analyst. Despite his frequent injuries, he seems to get a lot of respect from most associated with the game; when he speaks others listen.

Yes. Any evening should be at least 1 game going until around midnight. People that play more often than I do can correct me if I am wrong.

First hand cutoff open limped with Qq and flopped trup queens and turned quads. Lady to my left doesn’t chop and is awful bvd. I’ve made three sets and flopped quads that I should have checked.
