I don't really think about cbetting in a loose, small stakes game. If I bet the flop, it is for value. You could bet as a bluff in a shorthanded pot, but that's mostly out of the window with 5 to the flop. Generally, have a reason to bet that isn't "I took an aggressive reason on the last street." That's the thing about playing online in our generation -- you could learn a series of rules because the games were generally uniform. That recipe for beating a tight/aggressive game took some of the thinking out of spots. Auto-cbetting? Not great in soft games.
Oddly, their donks then become correct if you're not a reliable bettor.

on a lighter note, here's Bo Jackson stiffarming Deion Sanders, with commentary by the Neon one.

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
Ha, good share.
I loved football. Played D3 college. Lost the taste for watching it after I started grad school because I just didn't care enough about pro teams anymore, didn't feel connected except for going to my grad schools' games every so often (famous D1 program). Also felt like my time was so scarce it was better spent relaxing with the wife. But a good stiff arm by a running back is still one of my favorite things to see. That's why I loved watching LaDanian Thomlinsen when I watched pro more (probably screwed the spelling). His arm was like a piston straight to the defenders' faces.
Other things I loved to see in football:
A cornerback rolling the dice and jumping a route to try to intercept a pass in the flats. Pick 6 or die, bro.
A linebacker soul reading a guard's first step and going straight to the play. Good linebackers are incredible human beings: fast, strong, and whip smart.
A offensive linemen actually making a downfield block on a DB or linebacker on the run.
An offensive tackle completely locking down a defensive end every pass play and no one commenting on it. I see you, man.
Too bad CTE and other long term health issues are going to kill the game. Rumor is that high school participation is way down.

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
Few running backs could move a pile like some of my favorites:
Jerome Bettis ftw
Maurice Jones Drew looks like he could squat an I beam
My favorite football tactic is most definitely the no huddle. Get the wrong defense on the field and force them to stay on the field.
I played one year of organized football, but most of my experience was at the local park or in the street(telephone pole to telephone pole, street is in bounds). Still have the scars.

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
Agreed no huddle is where it's at.
My high school coach was really successful with it. It's hard to do with high school players because discipline and memory are a big factor so he'd wait to mid season to integrate it usually. One year he sat us down and made us watch a whole half of a random film of two Los Angeles high schools playing. One school was a powerhouse, had huge adult looking guys and multiple D1 prospects. The other team was a bunch of undersized kids from a tiny school but the QB was half-decent and they played a no huddle. The game was a total shootout and stayed within one score most of the game.
Moral was that no huddle is a big weapon even if you have just a semi competent QB and receivers with two hands, thus it's murderous when you have talent.

After I graduate and have the gainful employment I'm gonna start signing up to play on LATB and I'll be using different 2P2er's user names.
You heard it here first in case it ever happens to YOU

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
If I ever have enough poker dedicated funds together to play 40/80 I'd fly to LA for a live at the bike game.

Don't you have to know the right people (and have them think you'll be good for the game) to get on Live at the Bike?

Yeah those 40/80 games are exclusive. There’s a reason they’re so good.
Good news is that 40/80 is still good at the bike even without being at LatB.

Does LAtb still stream the 40/80 Texas? Or is it just 20/40 limit or is it just nlhe now?
I’ve seen 1 or 2 mix games, but not regularly

There was a 40/80 a few weeks ago, would love for that to be regular. The chat room got all mad though saying it was boring hehe.

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
Yeah they do the 40/80 occasionally but it seems not to be popular with their regular viewers. Personally I find it extremely entertaining while watching the NL games are dullsville. Part of that may be that I have played with a few of the LHE players in the past though.

The Bike really wants to be the top place for limit poker in LA. They do a great job at bringing in fish and whales into the game, and it’s fun to watch those people on camera because that’s really how they play when they’re not on the show (which is ludicrous sometimes).

Yeah when I watched last time it was on I saw some really fishy plays. The game looked super juicy.

Re: 2019 NC/LC THREAD - No problem
I think I’ve played fewer than 8 live PLO sessions (between 4-8 hours let’s say) and have somehow managed 3 wins of more than $4k (at like 1-2-5 or 2-2-5 stakes).
I only loosely know how to play PLO.
Standard?
