I think a lot more of it has to do with the fact that he's already been addressed for weird behaviors. If he just randomly tossed a shoe on the table in isolation of other things, I think he'd get a "Dude, what are you doing? Don't do that sort of thing again."

But since they've already addressed him for odd behavior and he just did something else, it's seen much more as an escalation, and it didn't really matter what he did. I think after dropping his pants, if he does *anything* weird in that moment, he's gone.

And then of course the craps table at the Luxor for his finishing act:

Feel bad for this guy, obviously having a mental breakdown of some kind.

Seriously though. Snapped. Must have lost the farm.

See what you guys think of this one.

I am at a must move table. Seat opens up in the main game. The floorman arrives to tell me this right after I have been dealt in on my big blind.

I then play the hand, get up, and go to the main game. I am ruled a "missed blind" because I didn't stay and play my small blind and the button at the must move game. I call the supervisor who says the same thing. I ask to see the written rule, and I am showed a rule that says "players are responsible for posting all blinds during the game" as justification. I am told I was responsible for posting that small blind, even though I was not at the table.

1) skipping your small blind and button and getting free hands from the cutoff is a big edge.
2) must moves that give free hands suck. Bellagio does it right where at every table you are treated as a new player, can play to your blind at the previous table, etc. this is the only fair way to do it.

CAZ is a place that allows coming in for free in must move games.

DD: If you are at a place that allows that free, is it still ok to skip your SB/button if you are told to move in your BB? Most people go ahead and play these, but I usually don't, but I am also trying to avoid posting my BB to begin with. Definitely punishes people who aren't paying attention, as others will sit out and not post BB if they see a seat open.

I agree with (1). That's why I like to do it that way.

As for (2), I think I also agree. But assuming you are in a room where must moves give you free hands, what do you think of the ruling that was made in my situation?

Did this just change? I haven't played there for several months, but I never had to post when moving to the main game in the past.

I really can't imagine this rule working in most games - the people at the main game would be up in arms that they have to wait for the new player to play up to his blind at the must move table.

Eh, it's a small edge. Getting moved when you're UTG and getting to play at the new table for free in the cutoff is a big edge. Since people moving from any other position get a bigger edge, I don't think skipping the SB when moving should be penalized.

Unsure for smaller games, for bigger mix games it’s been this way last few years. This is a good example of small stakes players shooting themselves in the foot. The people in the main game are the ones that are getting free rolled every time a new player gets free hands. But I agree w you that they would rather fill the seat immediately to their own detriment.

The big edge is skipping your small blind. Losing your button is a small penalty but still well worth it.

Seems like you should get free hands but if they aren’t going to let you then it seems like you should always play through your button. Or be a better nit and see the seat open coming and don’t take your big blind!

in the only small database of lhe i have loaded right now it would be worth it by a lot to pay a small blind to get dealt in on the button. Maybe a weird sample, i'm not sure
07-17-2019 , 11:01 PM
You should filter out HU I assume.

What I don’t like about the rule is that it gives too much power to the floor. If you don’t tip them they can just conveniently wait until after you’ve taken a big to tell you to move. It ends up costing you a lot of money in the long run if they give you the short end of this repeatedly.

In most games I’ve played in, you can choose to move and not take the sb, which makes the rule even more weird and dumb.

In my room I’m pretty sure if you get moved on your BB you can play through your button and then come in free to the main game

In our room, the missed blind button goes with you. So if you pass on your big blind because you see a seat opening, you will not get free hands in the main game. Although sometimes if you are observant you can get the floor to move you faster than she otherwise would such that you get moved before, rather than after, the blind hits you.

Correct. I believe the rule is you get one courtesy hand unless you are the BB, in which case you get two. Some dealers will give you two courtesy hands, intentionally or not.

Totally agree. But its better for the room because they get butts in seats faster.

Yeah I love it when big nits insist we stop the game before their big blind to call over the floor because there's a seat open at the other table.
