When I was there on Monday the biggest LHE game they had was 20/40 and on Tuesday it was 8/16. They started about 5pm and both broke by midnight.

Not anymore-as far as I can tell the 60/120 LHE game is gone, and the 75/150 mixed rarely runs. They get some big NL going on the weekends, I see 25/50 all the time. I only got to play the 60 game a couple of times, juicy AF

He may be referring to the NL40k type games that run there, on occasion.

While I don't have the authority to determine who plays in those games, there is a 10/20 lhe 10 mins North of Boston on Thursday nights after the 9-5 crowd gets out of work. Sometimes the stakes can go to 20/40 for the last hour, but I think it'll just be 15/30 for the last hour or 10/20 w half kill for the whole night.

Other than the people I've texted, if anybody else wants to play, the more the merrier. Most players employ a 70/15 style and aren't very experienced (at least not at limit poker). Friendly and normal people, convenient and safe location w parking, and the Dunkin Donuts coffee, beers, and good food is free. For now, I think the "ecosystem" can handle another 2p2 player or 5.

W the Encore opening in about 3 mos, one of the objectives of the game is to re-introduce the local gambling population to limit poker. Encore will have big games and some of the players enjoy the faster paced, more relaxed atmosphere in the limit and mix games.

MP open, probably a touch too loose, but sane. IIRC button CC, I effectively cold call in the SB with 33, BB calls. This is too loose, I think, given the blind structure (1 chip/3 chips) and the $6 drop in a 6-12 game.

Flop Q93 rainbow, check to raiser who bets, everyone calls (I think I should CR here).

Turn Kc, adding a flush draw, checked to raiser who bets, button folds and I raise. This is probably OK, given how I got here, I suppose, but I'm now a little over-repped. BB tanks and then CC, original raiser calls.

River is an offsuit J, and I check, which I think is a mistake, although I guess it could look like I'm trying to get in an FPS CR with the nuts, but my line now looks like a 2-pair hand. Anyway, BB now bets, original raiser folds disgustedly and I make a crying call. BB shows 4c2c for the missed flush draw and the original raiser starts ranting in Cantonese and fishes her 99 out of the muck and slams it on the table. If I bet river, BB obv folds and the original raiser makes the crying call, so my dumb line won me the pot.

Seems like every time we fire up an off-strip mix game in Vegas, there's a long list within half an hour. Lots of people on phones calling friends for some reason.

won $100 gtd limit holdem tourney wed night. made ten high calldown on something like AQ5 3, J runout "thought i had a straight" got some laughs. was a very fun tourney with good attitudes all around and many jokes. was hu vs guy claimed "never played limit" and 5th place says "..one of the strongest limit players on site" but I still maintain my previous claim that I'm the biggest donk on site. gg.

Here's my confession: The BlackJack got the better of me so I've filed for a one year ban from all AZ casinos. I'll still post on here if anything interesting comes up.

Bec of the BJ I had close to $900 on my player's card which would disappear after a year so I decided to go to the buffet and pay for $900's worth of dinners but there wasn't anyone going into the buffet so I went to the quick food/coffee shop restaurant across from the poker room, handed over my card, and announced to all comers 'order a lot! It's all on me.' Since it was taking forever the manager asked me if I wanted a chair which I declined. There was a smart lady who asked if I'd buy her a jacket from the gift shop. $60 seemed reasonable so she got her new purple Talking Stick jacket.

Self bans from casinos are the worst. If you sneak in they will likely let you play but if you hit a jackpot, they don't pay you. This is obviously more hurtful to slot players who can come and go without many employees seeing them and are more prone to jackpots, but just be careful. Don't want the casino to reverse freeroll you.
