IDK if anyone's ever done math on that. Most low limit 08 hands go off very multiway w/ most of the players holding poor hands that they play badly post-flop. I look over at the game at TS and see two rack+ pots often enough bec players think the world of the second nuts. But the patience needed, damn, that's the hard part.

At Orleans the 8/16 O8 is generally much better than the 8/16 LHE. The LHE really only goes because of the hourly rakeback, currently paying $75 for each 15 hours played per week. If you're a decent player in both games but you aren't going to be able to collect the promo, you're almost certainly going to do better playing the O8.

At most places you are probably correct though.

A lot of those giant pots are split 2, 3, 4 ways though.

Who cares about the other splits if you're getting a full half 4-ways?

Who cares about winrate when you can fold your UTG hand and take a dump without missing your BB?
11-09-2018 , 12:41 PM
I support this notion.

Be careful, do it too much and your body will get used to it, and you won't be able to go without playing O8.

The body is a habitual entity, this is true. That's why it's always a ****ty game with me these days.

Is that what it means by "regular"?

For whatever it contributes to the O8 conversation, listening to Ali Nejad and Nick Schullman commentating on the replays of the Godfather mixed game on Poker After Dark on Poker Go is like getting a free master class. Love their discussions. So much fan to watch those shows.

There is no O8 conversation, only a poop conversation. ****s or gtfo.

There is more discussion about 08 in the limit forum than in the 08 forum.

That’s bec there isn’t much to talk about at least for lower stakes.
11-10-2018 , 05:44 PM
Someone has been reviving old posts here just to have something to discuss. I wish I could remember hands well enough to post some myself. Been playing mostly O8 lately; even tougher to remember hands there.

Speaking of which, Orleans has a 15/30 O8 going. And it's early November.

It's been a regular game for about a year now.

Today in Big0 I flopped a wheel holding AA235 on a flop of 5-4-3, 3-ways. I know at least one of them has a wheel also. Turn A so I bet, river didn't pair and some ass hat had called my pf raise w/ 6-5-4-3-2 so I got quartered. That's aggravation for you, right there, my friends.

I know that feel, Howard. Story of my O8 life
11-11-2018 , 11:22 AM
If I'd been at your table I'd probably have raised the river with the other wheel and you'd have lost even more and been even more aggravated:

I wouldn't raise the A-2 in that hand and I likely wouldn't peel the flop either bec you're drawing to getting quartered almost always and who knows how many bets go in on the turn since the board is paired. Those fractions of bets that you lose, btw, add up to a lot of money over time.

Anyone else lose money on ATL today? I’m retiring from sports betting. Until the next for sure bet.

Literally everyone I talked to thought the Jags / Colts line was off and a bunch of people thought the Jags should have been favored to win. Then I think the line hit exactly. So there you go - Vegas is never wrong apparently

HF: "A cheeseburger and a Coke, please."
Waiter: "Lettuce and tomato?"
HF: "Yes, please."
Waiter: "You got it. By the way, the Jags-Colts line is off."
