I raise red JJ in position and end up with B.B. all in on 874-5-6. He goes to muck as I’d tabled my hand when another player says there’s a straight on the board. B.B. has a 9 lol. Bunch of savages I play with

Saw the same pay table at the bar outside the sports book at Caesars. The Double double bonus at the airport is 7/5!

I wonder how much the airport makes off of raping the tourists.

It's only a matter of time....

ETA: I mean, really. There are billboards all over the Bay Area for Cache Creek proudly boasting that BLACKJACK PAYS 6:5!!!1!

Update: the airport JoB was also 6/5.

Now for your only in Boulder moment: Nobel-prize winning physicist is in the seat right in front of me on the bus from DIA to Boulder.

Did he win or lose in Vegas?

True fact: My first inkling that public casino poker was winnable came when I was a first-year physics grad student at Caltech and one of my classmates regaled me with stories of heading to LV on weekends to beat mid-stakes games there.

(Unbeknownst to me at the time, undergrad Huck Seed was sneaking away to Gardena to play five-card draw. This was before the California hold'em explosion.)

He didn't gamble, he was just there to do E and rave to Krewella.

Bob148 posted a strat post. I thought we were discouraging that sort of thing.

Was an act of defiance and compulsion.

Oh good morning.

I note you have not posted in the thread.

I have a problem.

Mine is 4.7", but it seems that everyone else has these five inchers (or even bigger) now. I think it's kind of dumb to have it so big that it's bursting out of your pants, not to mention it's just uncomfortable to have a monster like that in your pocket.

Can someone recommend a decent smartphone that's not enormous? Old is not a problem (I'd actually happily buy an identical phone if LG still sold it), performance is not a huge issue (the most intensive thing I run is Minecraft).

I'm looking at the Motorola Moto E4. Anyone have experience?

forum is a lot less nitty than it used to be, "true fact" would have been insta-called out back in the day

ETA: when i was playing 5-10 and occasional 10-20 stud at foxwoods in early 90's there were dozens of stud tables and one 3-6 table of freaks playing some weird game where everyone gets 2 cards and then there was a "flop" of community cards that was allegedly popular out west

Today a woman came to pick up meds for her husband from my pharmacy. I asked her how many she was looking to grab (four filled, a few already sold, several unfilled) and she was unconcerned so I give her the four filled. She grabs the bags, unpaid, and starts opening and rifling through them. "Where's the *derp* medication for *derp*? It's not here. Why isn't it here?"

OH, NOW YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU CAME FOR?

Here's something weird - I take meds for high blood pressure. A fairly small dose of two different lightweight meds that are taken together. Here in Vegas for the WSOP, I usually leave the Do Not Disturb out. I wanted new towels so I took the sign off and left for a few hours. When I got back the room had been serviced, but one of the bottles was gone. Not both, just one. Weird, because you can't get high off of it, it only costs $3 a bottle, and there were only 10 pills left.

Had to call Walmart for a refill, and luckily they could do it because my home Walmart has my script on file.
