Yeah, but what're the odds that Howard is gonna get the low end and not get counterfeited as middle hand?

I was walking through a casino with a friend, and we passed by the poker room. They had a promotional where you get to spin a wheel for cash prizes based on certain conditions. Some guy was getting to spin and so we stopped to watch. As he stared at the outcomes of the wheel, he started to ask questions.

Player: So, 2x and 3x... what does that mean?
Casino worker: You get to spin again and we either multiply the dollar amount by two or three.
Player: So... if I get 2x and then 3x, is that 5x?

All the websites I need to use to do administrative work on my degree are down, and I'm too out of it to actually study for finals.

So I'm going to Canterbury.

I'll buy whoever recognizes me in my stupid flat-billed gray hat a beer and give you a hearty BBV "EAD."

So funny to think people with decent jobs that can't cover a random $1k expense. That just blows my mind. I round my poker bankroll to the nearest $1k.

Maybe stop making fun of me for having a flip phone on my parent's cell phone plan which costs me $15 a month while you buy a new $1k smartphone every year and pay $100+ a month for service. Idiots.

I have no job and I can currently cover a random $1k expense.

Only a couple of times though.

Then I can't eat anymore and my H&F blog will become very funny.

Hi guys. Going fishing with my boy and HOWMANY for a couple of days. Also, pay cash.

I think at some point it makes more sense to pay someone to manage money for you. Assuming their management fee is reasonable and they're not ******ed (i.e. can beat 80/160+).

Also, if you can value-bet AQ high vs. AJ on a board of K-9-7-5-3 and check back KQ on 9-7-4-Q-A otr when he is defending AJ, then you're basically getting their services for free.

6643 in the big blind

Flop 256

No, I didn't win. Yes, I got it all in.

That was a neat trick.

This thread obviously needs a new title.

What do we think of ppl who build their houses on top of volcanos? IMR, build a house on top of a volcano, are you serious?

I looked into volcano insurance. For all practical purposes there isn't any. These ppl built houses on top of a VOLCANO w/o volcano insurance, ffs!

It's pretty.

People should really be building houses in areas prone to wildfires, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, landslides, blizzards, flooding, or tsunamis instead. Or maybe in the middle of the dessert.

I don't want to start an assman/mathman type battle but I don't think you can buy +ev property and casualty insurance.

Sent from my phone which is also not +ev

I don't think it's the house that's worth the real money. I think all the value is in the volcano itself.
05-09-2018 , 09:27 AM
Guys, it *grows* land!! Do you know how valuable *land* is?

You can get insurance for all of those things except for dessert. If it's a decent restaurant, though, they'll likely take it off the bill if you really don't like it.

Can't buy the volcano, can only lease it.

Have we had enough of all these long pointless paragraphs yet that I am simply ignoring?

I had a nice start to a poker session yesterday. We start a new table 6 handed waiting for it to fill up. I'm UTG+1. First hand UTG raises and I look down at JJ and I 3! it. I bet Q high flop and turn and everyone folds so I win that pot for a nice start. Second hand I'm UTG and I look down at JJ again! I raise it, and I get 4 or 5 callers since people are slightly suspicious of someone raising his first 2 hands. Flop KQJ. I bet and get 2 callers. Turn J. Bet turn/river and that wins the pot plus a $200 high hand bonus. Sometimes this game is easy.
