Everybody loves a story w/ a happy ending!

Speaking of kids, my wife was playing Old Maid with our 4 year old for the first time yesterday while I was at work. It is actually a variant called Old Santa, but in the game you try to make pairs and the person left with the Old Maid 'loses'.

So the first game my daughter likes Santa, so she didn't want to give it up. My wife explains to her that it is bad to have it and you want to get rid of it.

Second game they finish the game all getting pairs, and my wife can't find the Santa. My daughter sneakily hid it among her pairs when she made one.

After saying she can't do that, during the third game my daughter hides it under the table among magazines when my wife isn't looking.

Kids are the worst cheaters.

Think things are going bad lately, do you? Here's my travail:

1. My sister's nitwit bf decided to unplug the cable connection to use for his laptop causing all of the TV's to not work. End up w/ 'The Cable Guy' who changes all of the boxes but doesn't check to see if the internet works, which it doesn't. I'm posting this from the free wifi at Talking Stick and it won't get fixed until tomorrow.

2. My mother just got released from a week at the rehab w/o her oxygen prescription and now she's half dead and my sister went out to rent an oxygen tank. Mom wants me to come home and hold her hand while she dies but I said no.

3. I keep forgetting Talking Stick's monthly nightmare for cash players: The end of the month tourney which means tables won't be available for at least another hour.

fml.

And they get to play Keno!

Hand from a few minutes ago. I limp QJ UTG, everyone calls.

Flop: 1083. Someone bets, everyone calls.

Turn: BINGO! 9. I c/r the field. 5 callers.

River: Small , I get paid in one spot.

Am now thinking of getting a massage.

Howard, get one of those oxygen concentrators, they don't run out. But keep the tank around in case the machine breaks.

I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!

There are many news channels today, esp if the internet ones are counted. 'Network' has essentially come true. Substitute the Chinese for OPEC and ISIS for the militants that were hired to kill Howard Beale and there we are. I really, really wish that the Coen brothers would do a remake.

And as you can see my internet's back up. First cable guy installed an improper connection box that second cable guy replaced along w/ some other upgrades first cable guy missed. I'm wondering how to respond to the possible quality satisfaction survey.

I am confused as to what happened in the last ten posts or so but it's funny so I like it

I realize now that the play would've been to tell the second cable guy to ask the first cable guy for the $10 tip that I gave him instead of tipping the second $10.

OTOH, I didn't check my Keno ticket so for all I know I've got $10K coming.

btw, fyi: Stars got shut down for offering gambling where players could win money. What they are getting away w/ now re their play money games is the real crime. If I ever get my hands on Bill Frist I might end up in prison.

Once in a while I find myself starting to tell a hand story then clamp my mouth shut and apologize but here's a mini one bec I haven't been so astounded in all of my years playing:

Talking Stick's BBJ is up to $31.5K when I sat in to play. That's the highest it's been w/o a promo add-on in recent memory and considering that it's so easy to hit (Aces full of 10-10+ beaten by quads which is usually someone w/ a big pair and 3 Aces on the board) it's remarkable. So this comes up: I open K-10o HJ, folds around to the BB who open mucks A-Qo. How in the world is this possible? HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS POSSIBLE? Even if I were allowed to show K-K face up w/o voiding the BBJ it's still a call. My table image allows many steals but HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Hey, hey, btw: I've been laughed at for years for have a LifeLock account. Two days ago they caught someone trying to open an account in my name for the second time, problem now solved so I upgraded to their medium service. lol @ everyone else that doesn't have LifeLock.

The ridiculous fold gets no attention but my LifeLock btw is super-interesting?

Shrug. I've had people make equally ridiculous folds against me (ATs, 77, etc) and I'm guessing I have a much crazier table image than you.
