Good example. The question is... is that the correct way to do things?

If you have to listen on radio, then yeah it beats any other sport, but I much prefer watching on TV. It is pretty good to watch while you're at the poker table, as you don't have to watch every pitch and they'll replay anything exciting that happens.

And this is also why baseball is incredibly boring. Most of the time, nothing is happening.

Edit:

I think he works for free so they stick him on there literally for 6 hours on game days, and when people call in, he'll have the same long drawn out discussion on the same subject 5 times an hour. It got to be so I dreaded April every year.

LATB is 40-80 limit tonight?! Never come close to playing that high, but what I definitely appreciate is that everyone plays quickly. Some of the people I play with, well, it appears $12 means a lot to them
04-11-2018 , 09:46 PM
Oh, I was wanting to watch that. Does anyone know what time it's being broadcast?
04-11-2018 , 09:47 PM
It's on youtube/twitch right now
04-11-2018 , 09:53 PM
My pops and I are going to drive 100 miles to play a $140 weekly with 11% rake rather than a daily $70 or $80 or whatever with 25% rake. Entries should be about the same for each.

Thoughts?

Consider yourself lucky that you've got a really good relationship w/ 'pops.'

I remind myself of that every day, Howard. He sent me a text message earlier today to remind me that he sent me an email of the Jake Cody 60k roulette spin, I thought that was hilarious and kind of endearing.

Of course I didn't tell him I had seen it already, but the sentiment was touching.

Is it just me or is this incorrect? When I report my cash game winnings any tips to dealers are already subtracted to get my net profit , yeah? So why would I deduct them separately later? I would be hesitant to start a new relationship if he’s already giving me bad advice, but this seems to conflict what I currently believe to be correct procedure.
New CPA's story checks out. I have seen online as long as you qualify as a professional gambler you can deduct all expenses including tips, flight, hotel, etc.

Not sure MApoker reads 2p2 any more, but in case he does ...

Cashier: Name for the order?
Me: Kevin.
Cashier: Excuse me?
Me: Kevin.
Cashier: What??
Me: KEVIN.
Cashier: How do you spell that?
Me: You know what, just put down Wang Chung.

She got that first try and spelled it correctly.

"Everybody Kevin Tonight" just isn't as catchy.

Howard, lots of old-man games in the Orleans summer series during the WSOP. Kind of nice it's right during the WSOP and not before it.

Wow! Look at all of those 08 games! I sure wish that I could go.

I was actually allowed to win the princely sum of $117 earlier this week playing 4-8 O8 with a half-kill. Blind squirrel, meet acorn.

Everything about this hurts my soul, especially having no BR left and no chance to get down there to play with my soul-kin, AKA the people of The Orleans

They spread 10/20 O8 at CP yesterday which I have never seen and seemed like a good
limit to learn at, so u jumped in and played a couple orbits while waiting for 20/40. Floor had broken the must move 20/40 to start a short handed 40/80 mix which I hate. Anyway, I am at the point where I understand the rules of O8 but no clue on the strategy. You can tell me how badly I played this hand. Average age at the table is about 80 and the game seems super passive but this is Omaha so wtf do I know.

UTG limps, I look down at AsKd4s2c UTG + 1 and raise because as I understand aces can be used in the high AND the low. Three people cold call and the BB calls. Flop is A93r with one spade. Checks to me, I bet, everyone calls, UTG CR (in full OMC speech mode) I three bet which I don’t think has ever happened before on the flop in this game, two people now fold and everyone else calls. Turn is 8s, I bet and get called by a LP player and UTG. River Js and a trivial bet call call.

So how bad is PF and flop?

I river a rainbow T every time. Did UTG hold a face up sympathy funeral for his set of aces?
