Merry Christmas everyone. Gonna take one day off before I hit the tables again. IIRC, i’ve only gambled on Christmas once, this guy was playing me 1-2 NLHE HUHU. That was the only game available, degens are gonna degen.

Merry Christmas and may you always have the odds to call and the livest of outs.

I believe that tradition should adjust to the changing times. From here on out, today should be known as UFC Day.

Unqualified ****ing Christmas Day?

If I need to explain a joke, that means it didn't work, and so why bother explaining it?

Boxing is dead, replace with UFC which is live.
What did I miss?

Years ago I played one day at Sandia Casino in Albuquerque. I remember it was a very run down room.

Make that 93% then.

And I was only thinking of live poker.
If online poker / gambling counts, and sports betting even among friends counts, more like 97%.

A bunch* of years ago when the USBC National Bowling Tournament was in Abq I stayed and played at the Route 66 Casino. It was ok, not awful. If you want to drink and play, make your choice. No alcohol at the table.

*IDK how long ago and I cbf to look it up.

Yeah, I meant live - basically you have to set foot in a house of gamble. I guess I didn't consider what happens if someone is staying at a casino for vacation. *shrug*

I would take the under on 92% live and the over on 97% live or online and especially including sports betting.

I might set the live line at 50%? Am I grossly underestimating teh degen?

If it was somehow verifiable, I would put my entire net worth on the over.

But then, the first time I went to Vegas was on Xmas. Probably have been to a casino on either Thanksgiving or Xmas every year since I started frequenting them.

Aren't casinos pretty dead on big holidays?

At 1am Xmas morning (when I left), the Orleans had about 20 tables going, including three 8/16 O8 games. According to Bravo, Bellagio had a lot of games going too. And a few hours earlier someone said he took a taxi here from the Aria because the lists were too long.

On Xmas night I went to dinner downtown and Fremont Street was packed.
