8-16 08 hand:

UTG limps (btw, something's happened to this guy bec he's playing well below how he knows he should be playing but, w/e), I raise A-A-4-2 UTG+1, folds around to SB (whose middle name must be 'I can't play this game to save my life) who calls, 3-ways to the flop of:

A-K-3. I bet, both call.

Turn: 3. I now have the world's fair, I can't lose, right?

River: 3. SB bets out and I'm not a good enough player to fold.

**** you poker just ****, ****, **** you, you mother****er!

Is that a proverbial "donk of death?"

Did somebody say COLTS???

My Colts did everything they possibly could to give that game back to the Jags. In the end, the Jags just wouldn't take it. Does Vegas make the most money when their lines are exactly right? If so, I can't help but wonder if they didn't pay the Colts receivers to drop those balls.

I'm assuming the line was Colts-3. If that's the case, what I've heard is they typically give the home team 3 points so they essentially thought the game was a push. Given the Colts O and the Jags D I can't disagree with that statement.

"everyone here is out to get me" and **** like that on a regular basis. I took it upon myself to offer help on one occasion, as I'm pretty much an expert at dealing with paranoia on a personal level. Well the **** didn't exactly hit the fan, but there was some push back from a mod saying that such things would not be tolerated. Maybe he thought I was talking ****? I don't know.

Here's my issue with such an approach to mental health:

If I saw a guy crash his bicycle and suffer a compound fracture somewhere, I would offer my help. I doesn't take a doctor to figure out that <bone protruding from skin with blood pouring out> = a broken leg, arm, whatever.

If someone exhibits signs of a mental health issue, I'm not supposed to say anything.

Great, this way it gets swept under the rug yet again. Everything is fine. Move along, nothing to see here.

Just bec you're paranoid doesn't mean ppl aren't out to get you.

On some sites Mod's do a nice job of just getting out of the way. On this site they seem like they are ready to pounce any chance they get. It's difficult to engage in conversation because everybody is so worried about saying the "wrong thing" do to our heightened sensitivity. I'm mostly referring to other topic forums.

Waiting for a game, Cardroom has WiFi because cell signal kind of sucks in building. Look up something in twodimes and get that error banner about access being blocked because gambling

Local cardrooms ban 2p2, but not the forum. Explain that.

You're accessing the forums via a dedicated forum app instead of a web browser?
11-13-2018 , 08:46 PM
Nope. forumserver.twoplustwo.com on safari/chrome/firefox/analexplorer
11-13-2018 , 09:57 PM
Yep, if you go to the forum instead of twoplustwo.com it bypasses some firewalls. I've seen it both ways.

Strange, but that explains how good their systems are

Just played an interesting one against Cepheus where I defended the big blind with 76o

Fop came 833ccx turn 4c river Jc

flop and turn went check/check

I bet river and he looked me up with Q2s no club.
11-16-2018 , 05:59 PM
Also Cepheus just raised preflop, I called big blind.

Flop is T23r, check/check

Turn is an 8. I bet, it calls.

River is an Ace. I check, it bets, I call.

It has 56, which is the 2nd nut low. At best, it has 20 percent equity on the turn, I just dont get it.

If I were to guess, I'd say that it's probably working out its range so that it can improve on a river 4, 5, or 6. At least that's part of the logic. It also thinks that it has some bluffing equity as well. But I don't know how it is weighing the two benefits.

This combo is one of the more profitable river bluffs in buttons range. The combination of realizable equity (showdown winnings as a fraction of the pot) and bluff value must be just enough.

Guy gets sucked out in like three times in a row and makes a big declaration that he will be stiffing the dealer.

Couple hands later I make a bad peel OOP multi-way with 44 on 655 hoping to bad beat him (success!) then a guy calls his flop bet on 977 with K6o, turn 5, river K FTW

“How can you make that call?”

(Shrugs) “I dunno...I’m rich.”

“Good for you. Nice play.”

“Thanks! I watch ESPN.”

You were morally obligated to suck out on him and then make a generous tip. No choice.
11-17-2018 , 08:56 PM
Done and done.

Later, I'm racking up, winning just under 3 racks and this guy mumbles to his neighbor how at least I don't have any of "his" chips because he'd won a couple of big pots and he's even.

I always prefer to be specific about how rich I am. Shamelessly stolen from Jesse's blog (point to you stack): "See this? This means nothing to me. I could lose this every day for 13 years and still have more money than all of you combined."

Don't use a round number for the years. Make it seem like you've gone home and done the math and you just had it sitting in your back pocket.

I always think that makes someone look like an insecure douche, mostly because there's a guy that does something like this at least once per session and I always think it makes him look like an insecure douche (and I also assume he's telling the truth).
