Cane. Can double as a weapon better than a crutch.

btw, hope you're feeling better.

Can you get those special shoes where one sole is bigger than the other?

Cane if not. Looks more permanent. Plus you can hide a sword in it.

I think it depends on you age. Under 40, crutch. Over 50, cane. 40-50, I'd go with cane at a wedding/funeral, crutch everywhere else.

Canes are pimpin'. Now that I think about it, I'm tempted to get one even though I don't need it.

This.

Plus more comfy to use imo.

+1 to adding a lift to one of your shoes as well. But still a studly well made cane is the pips.

Got to get one of those craft fair canes def NOT a Walgreen's cane.

So Jesse and I are doing our usual bi-weekly catch up texting. He's apparently out with two ladies last night and including them in our banter. My hip fracture progress comes up and I tell him it's kinda stalled because I've lost almost an inch of length in my left leg after the surgery. As you might imagine, this renders my unassisted ambulation very awkward (at best) and it looks like I'll be relegated to using a single crutch or cane for the foreseeable future. (Read that- til death do us part.)

So, I ask him to poll his lady friends: Would you prefer to be with a guy that relies on a crutch or a cane? The vote was split.

So my question to SSLHE: If you had to use one or the other when you're in polite society, which would you use?

[ ] Crutch because you might get more sympathy points; or

[ ] cane because House set the standard for a "doc with a disability."

Minor brag: I got one of those 'Handicap' thingies to put on the vehicle's mirror so parking is decidedly more convenient now.
A shoe with a lift won't work?

I got one of those shoe lifts about two weeks ago. It reduces the waddle a bit. I really like the sword-in-the-cane idea.

I reckon I'm relegated to the cane for all occasions.

PM me a pic of your pimpin' cane, preferably one that conceals a sword.

Noted. Studly cane now on Christmas wish list.

You never fail to dissapoint. The only problem is that I'd be damn near blind in the non-monocled eye.

Who's Wanda? (I might actually need her- especially if she's hot.)

Don't know if it matches your attire, but I particularly like the laughing skull model:

Oh, CG LHE, how I've missed you.

I raise KK UTG, MP 3-bets, 2 calls, SB caps, and BB comes along for good measure. Flop 643r, SB checks I bet MP raises SB calls BB calls I 3-bet MP caps. Turn T, MP bets, SB calls BB calls I raise everyone calls. River 5, SB donks, BB calls, I muck the bronze, which MP gladly picks up with what she claimed was KK so probably like 88 or something, and of course SB shows T7o. BB sympathy shows 22. He receives none.

A few limps, I raise KK from HJish, called around to the guy on my right who 3-bets and says, "So you can cap." I thank him politely and do in fact cap. Flop TT2tt and only two people call, one being the guy on my right. Turn 8, I bet he calls. River 8, I bet he raises and I mean really I should fold but this is like getting down to "maybe he misread his cards" equity so I sigh and call and get shown the 98s.

EP raises, 3 calls, I pick up KK in the SB and declare, "**** Bayes." EP calls but now one of the LP callers wtfcaps it. I "donk" the AKQr flop, EP raises, someone from the peanut gallery 3-bets, and I slide out the other 3 bets that were already in my hand. Turn is a J, but undeterred I slide out a bet and ... everyone folds???

Shrug, I'll take it.

For some reason I thought there was a 5-bet cap at Cal Grand.

Best part of Christmas is eggnog. It's like a socially acceptable way to get wasted, because it seems like it should be only a seasonal thing.
