If it makes any of you guys feel better I frequently think about this thread while doing evil things to good girls in the bedroom.

Of all the combinations of good/evil possible (doing good things to good girls, doing good things to evil girls, doing evil things to evil girls), the one you chose is by far the creepiest.

Just picked up my BBJ money from the other day, $234. Only about $20000 more and maybe I'll be even.

That little? I know you play time games also but after all of these years I know I'd need way more than that.

-------------------

In other news: Rivered a straight flush, got called in two spots. It was 10 hi - and I had to use both cards - and I was surprised that I didn't get raised, tbh.

Could be more than that, it was a wild guess. But most of the time I have put into poker has been games without a BBJ. I played more than anywhere else in AC, and they didn't bring in jackpots until late.
10-11-2017 , 01:30 AM
Yah, I didn't realize that you might've just been throwing out a number for effect. I've won ~$15K if BBJ money and who knows how much in promo money and I'm very sure that I'm way behind.
10-11-2017 , 01:41 AM
I'd guess I've won 5-10k in promo money and contributed basically nothing (excluding some commerce 40-80). Luckily when I played 4-8 there was no bbj.

I've probably been on the losing end of at least 5 bbj that I can remember though and its always fun to listen to the dealers complain about how unlcuky they are right after you lose very large pots with quads or better.

Good girls doing evil things to him? Or maybe that was AlanBostick's girl(s).

So my ability to estimate the number of barbers in Chicago coupled with my knowledge of risk adjusted expectation (See? Poker isn't evil.) gave them confidence in my chemistry skills. Ironically (or IMO not ironically), now I'm one of the strongest and most vocal opponents of the random math questions, because now there's a strong chemistry team and we have better options than random math questions.
I've decided that if a company asks you super simple, easy interview questions, it basically means everyone there is dumb, the company has no future, and you should flee.

That is crazy that a dealer would say that...although if he said that with me in that circumstance, he would be somewhat unlucky, because he would never get a tip from me again.

That was room share, not table share.

Pretty sure his "that little" question was referring to my $20K figure I gave that I'm down in the BBJ.

I wonder if I chose that on purpose

You came of age in the 60s and 70s when that was the norm?

I'll rephrase my statement.

If it makes you guys feel any better I frequently think about this thread while performing depraved consensual interactions with nice ladies.

When I am performing depraved consensual interactions with nice ladies (or indeed, any sort), I have better things to think about than this thread.

Sat a 2-3-300 game while waiting for 8-16. Got back from bathroom break to find I'm 2 off the BB. I figure 'for $5 I can show that I'm not a nit' and toss in a chip. Dealt 54, knuckle, someone raises to $15, everybody folds and I think 'for $10 maybe I can show them that I'm not a nit' and call.

Flop:

Q63. Since every raiser has AK I figure that I can bet and show them that I'm not a nit so I bet $25 but the other guy made it $50 and I called.

Turn: 10. c/c

River: Something. c/c

I picked up my cards and was ready to throw them in the muck and then thought 'I ought to show this so that they know I'm not a nit', smack the cards face up on the table and exclaim: 'BEAT THAT!' The other guy looks at my hand for a few seconds and then rolls over the 54.

There's a lesson in there somewhere, folks!
10-11-2017 , 08:28 PM
Bet turn is the lesson.

We save a lot of money staying at The Orleans but, tbh, mom's at the stage where getting her into taxis and having to get wheelchairs is too much for her. We'll book into Venetian and not leave the property for the 3 nights we'll be there.
