chillrob just has no faith in humanity imo. Maybe Robert Duval can talk some sense into him:

or maybe Al Pacino:

There is a difference between telling someone not to do something and teaching them why not to.. There is nothing wrong with taking drugs. As long as you do it responsibly. Like gambling. Or alcohol. Or Jesus. There is nothing inherently wrong with being a drug dealer, or a hooker, or a lawyer. It's how you do it. Same as basically everything in the world.

Telling someone what they can or can't do, based your beliefs, doesn't work. Don't go all DARE and sledgehammer a never do drugs ever policy into kids.

I think "in moderation" means way less than most people think it means.

Depends on what social constructs you subscribe to.

If you subscribe to none, then modern philosophy means absolutely nothing and there is truly nothing with inherent meaning.

I can get down with that. Nihilism is fun. But don't we extend that from the other direction too? Instead of "never do drugs, ever" we say "always do drugs, forever."

I think it also means a lot more than a lot of people think.

Personally I don't know how anyone can spend a life grinding themselves to death on the limit wheel and not shoot up in the bathroom every couple hours

I don't think so. All the **** you put into your body - from refried beans to alcohol to caffeine to Viagra to heroin to chemotherapy - has to get processed by your liver and kidneys. Save your liver for the one that matters most. I mean sure you can shoot up every day in the Bellagio bathrooms and not die and if simply not dying counts as a win I guess I see your point. But long term, life is about how many -3 sigma events you can avoid before one finally gets you, and drugs - even exceptionally pure FDA vetted pharmaceutical ones - eat up that buffer.

Long term you're already dead. Quality over quantity.

Who wants to live a life without refried beans?

Not like the years you tack on at the end are that spectacular

Confirmed.

There is still time to do scarface lines with a Denver stripper while eating refried beans

Canned refried beans suck
09-18-2017 , 01:33 AM
**** it. If you're going to do coke you may as well go the whole nine and spring for the good beans too

Meh - You're going to die someday. I don't believe that a long life, while a good thing to have, is the primary endgame of living.

Doctors are pretty good at keeping people alive. There's an awful lot of years "at the end."

5 hours into my session I'm stuck 2 racks and then....

Played and won every hand for 11 minutes. Made 3.75 racks and was stacking chips that entire glorious 11 minutes. Entire table glares at me enviously. I then rack up because I won't top that feeling. Now they glare at me angrily.

Bible doesn't say anything about refried beans. If you run bad in the short term it just means next weekend you get to do speedballs with Jesus and Chris Farley.

Self fulfilling prophecy. You'll never know what it feels like to win ten racks if you leave at 3. Eat those refried beans

Just when I think this group can't get any more sophomoric, juvenile, and immature, you go and have a conversation like this.

Spoiler:
AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELVES!!!

A doctor a lawyer and a scrubby white dude from Massachusetts walk into an internet forum.....

seems like there's a good joke there somewhere but I can't figure it out.

Good morning Leo and Munga.
