Funny hand (and proof that live tells don't matter). 75 o8 I open AA23 and get 4 call. Flop is AJ4ss and somebody asks what I have I say AA23 and spades and some people laugh, 3 calls. Turn 5 giving me straight flush and only 2 calls. River pairs 4 and it gets capped 3 ways. Wasted straight flush becusse AA scoops entire pot anyways.

I used to think it was a leak announcing what my hand was but the last 4-5 times I've done it I've flipped the nuts with nut redraw and got infinite action, they just keep raising me and I'm usually always honest

in online poker over the years, typing "i have it" in the chat box has been a reliably good way to get river-tanking opponents to call me

Have you tried "I'm bluffing" to see what that does?

I've had trouble getting motivated to play in a live game. It has become so hard to play online, but maybe I need to go grind up some $ on Ingition or wherever just to feel like I'm not dropping by the bank to drag out $5k to go play poker. It also feels like a big commitment in my current schedule to sneak out to play for a day. I can put on biking gear and be doing something I love with trails 5 minutes from the house. An hour and a half in the car to hit the casino to get on a waiting list? It hasn't passed the shave test.

Who knows, maybe Bellatrix will hit town in the near future and I'll go up and play with her. Always amazing to see the mansplaining poker with someone who clearly can't play telling her "you probably shouldn't have played that hand". It is the added level of motivation required.
