Because you went in June?

You may be on to something there.

Game was great, then just good. Lots of gambool during the NBA playoff game. Ran terribly but will be back tonight for more good times. Overall I give it a C+ as rooms go.

Pros
- nice big open space
- lots of TVs
- cocktail waitresses frequent and easy on the eyes
- dealers seemed competent
- wifi was fast

Cons
- two boards? I put my name on and they didn't tell me it would getoly h called from the other board so I missed it
- the walking. This is pretty much the worst thing about CA poker. We were never full and there were 3-4 people just up and down the whole ****ing night.
- the chips. I just like the more uniform, smoother plastic ones. Not a big deal.
- no 20/40 game. There was no list even?
- playing out of racks. Not many people doing it, but just slows down the game.

Can't imagine there was not even a list for 20/40. I haven't been there since the new room opened, but previously the 20/40 was in a different room than the smaller games, with a separate list.

Sounds like the best thing about CA poker.

Btw how is it that I end up in CA when all of the cool kids are in Vegas?
FWIW, the fun crew doesn't play the 8/16 texas.

Also, I think the only "reg" fun crewer from socal is Jesse.

How'd you do?

Confirmed.

The walkers are the nits that are playing for bbj anyways. Just start raising and everyone will call. EZ game.

One time there was a walker who was over at the dark side so we all yelled "YEAH!" and jumped up and high fived each other, pretending we hit the BBJ, to make him come running back.

He was not amused. He picked up his chips and went back to BJ.

Do you play better if you arrive "happy" or are looking forward to getting "happy" after you're done playing?

Believe we only played 20-40 to 80-160 LHE, with the 20 being the grinding spot. HammerinHank was the grinder of the Fun Bunch, and 2nd place wasn't remotely close. They did play some 8/16 and 12/24 mix games at Orleans.

OTOH, from what we heard, every Commerce and Bay reg was in Vegas. If he was referring to the general regs in LA, guessing they're living in a house in Vegas for the month.

Confirm. Honestly, Jesse8888 is a NoCal guy who accidentally lives in LA. By that count, 3 Bay101 regs, me, and a guy from Music City are the regs.

106 of 132 remaining in $1500 LHE. Need some early run good to get my 7th WSOP cash in my last 10 events. Leggo.

I always wanted to do that. Kind of unfortunate that he incinerated his money at the table games.

Is this your first year playing WSOP, or first year cashing?
I can't find you when I search their player listings.

Best of luck, wish I could join all you fine people in Vegas.
Maybe next year.

Apparently just the Captain and Jesse. No mention of where Doug and HammerinHank were at the time. As for me, well, I was just feeling sorry for myself in Nashville and cursing whatever gods afflicted my back.

Good luck, Batman. I loved you in Batman Begins.
06-13-2017 , 05:57 PM
Ah wtf there is a whole nother room? Bah. Well I just did a drive by and there is a 20 going. It didn't look super great but will probably play later.
06-13-2017 , 07:50 PM
In the money now. Chipped up pretty decent. Only care about final table now.
06-13-2017 , 08:09 PM
Wtf. Either HG dealers are not on the ball or they have a super weird rule here. Twice it has happened were a blind busted out, they moved the button ahead and never had me post the BB? Like I went from UTG to the SB to the button when th no blind? That can't be correct.
06-13-2017 , 09:57 PM
Voting weird rule. Oaks institutrd that rule a few years ago. It's weird.

I was in the air, flying in and hoping not to be late to dinner with Gobboboy and the gang. HH was being a poker ambassador at the Bellagio, because at least someone in the group has to get an epic grind on and take all the local's cash monies.

Current status - moving up to chase losses.

Sick to my stomach. Nursed a short stack for 5+ levels today and finally spun it up to 70k after rivering Broadway vs Alex Luneau.

Then button tries to steal with 87o when I have AA and gets the 875 flop and gets me for 45k. Same orbit he opens UTG with A7o and beats my 88 on A62A9. Bleh.

Busted 45th.
