I have a question for Mr Pope. In a few days I may find myself in the vicinity of Phoenix. Would they show an Arizona Wildcats basketball game in the Talking Stick poker room, or is the hate too strong?

It will likely be on as long as there aren't like 10 other games like NFL and bowl games going on. I would imagine it would be on at least 3 screens more than likely. Plenty of wildcat fans go there.

If you don't see it on, ask a floor person and they can get it on a TV if it is a channel they get.

Are you trying to imply that making a polite, reasonable request has a decent chance of working?

Do you even poker bro?

Always worked for me, but I don't go to the poker room to be miserable like 80% of the people there do.

Thanks, it's this Thursday night, and the only bowl game is the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl (???). It's on ESPN 2, so they probably have it.

I've said it on here many times: I wouldn't believe some of the hands that are played if I hadn't seen it myself. Forget the Quantum Theory of Gravity, the nature and composition of Dark Energy and Matter, the flaws w/ the Standard Model and from whence came the initial Singularity. What I want to know is how in the world does someone limp UTG w/ the 93?

Is there no free will? Causality, taking it's damn sweet 13.72 billion years worth of time, is the reason? Brain damage? The player has a net worth in the billions?

I don't care that it's 4-8. There's something very wrong going on here.

I'm not shocked by players limping 93o. What shocks me is that these same players fold preflop more than 20% of the time.

Btw: Someone opens EP gets the usual crowd. He bets the flop of

Q22 and gets beaten by the 76.

That's Satan at play right there which means that God Almighty Himself hates the other guy.

The randomness of the universe can cause extreme paranoia and existential doubt. I think Howard was joking, but there's something serious to be said about this type of thinking:

but it's still morning and I'm not ready for a religious nor philosophical conversation at the moment.

Gamblor rewarded his faithful. End of story.

Glad to hear that your recovery has kept apace and that your sense of style is in fine form. Firmly in the cane camp. If you need some tips on what to do with the pointy bit, I may know some folks of minor skill in the field.

Our best to you and yours over the holidays.

Might've been the diet Cokes. Heard that the biggest winner in modern times, our Dear Orange Leader, drinks 12/day. Didn't help.

A few weeks ago I was having lunch with one of our business development people, i.e., non-scientist. I ordered a Diet Coke and we end up having a conversation about aspartame (specifically, what do scientists think about the claims that it causes cancer/AIDS/whatever it's accused of nowadays).

I pointed to an old quote, which is that "the dose makes the poison" - everything in excess is bad for you (including water) and the amount of methanol released by aspartame is comparable to what you'd find natually occuring in fruit and while you will go blind if you drink a cup of methanol, a little bit here and there won't hurt you.

"Of course," I added, "if you're drinking a two liter a day you might want to look a little more closely at the scientific studies."

A few days later Trump's diet became national news and I dropped by to let him know that "on further review of the scientific evidence, I've concluded Diet Coke causes diarrhea of the mouth."

I wonder if he drinks the stuff out of a bottle/can or in a glass w/ ice. Should prob start a thread in P about it.
12-20-2017 , 06:27 PM
Isn't he particular about germs? I would predict cans.
12-20-2017 , 06:55 PM
I can-t even.
12-20-2017 , 08:12 PM
I don't trust anyone who chooses Diet Coke over Coke Zero.
12-20-2017 , 08:39 PM
Put the coke back in Coke, imo.

+1000

After many months away from the tables due to having our first child, finishing school, and starting my career, I’m going to make my return to playing with my OMC friends after the new year. Can’t wait to think I’m value betting top pair only to be shown aces playing passively for the cracked promo.
