So a while back I complained that a certain Oaks floorman always had to ask my name twice, and I joked that he expected my name to be Wang Chung or something.

Of course the next time MApoker sees me at thw table - while I'm in a hand, mind you - he sneaks up and yell-sings "EVERYBODY WANG CHUNG TONIGHT" in my ear.

Serious point but non-serious example. The whole thing started when someone bunped into him in the club and he just couldn't let it go. A few escalations later, as The Offspring put it, one guy's wasted and the other's a waste.

If you pulled that from my physical appearance, kudos. I get a fair number of Koreans that approach me speaking Korean.

Some eight or nine years ago, one of the Oaks late-night 30-60 regulars tried to set up a "Know Your Asian" proposition bet with various gwai lo at the table. I demurred; I thought I was pretty good for a gwai lo (going to junior high and high school in Hawaii helps with that) but not good enough to bet.

Yeah, Korean was my guess from remembering what you look like. Don't know if you ever told me or shared your actual nationality here though.

Delayed response!

I somehow found myself perusing the wastelands of OOT and discovered the MLYLT drama-bomb. There was speak of a pie-loving thread and I couldn't help but delve in because I love pie and my mom taught me how to make fabulous blueberry pies.

Well, long story short, I made a ****ing delicious pie and it looked good. There was a contest. I won the contest some how. The people spoke of possible undertitles and I woke up one day with this one.

I do say, I almost cried.

Point taken, but you're talking about an obvious accident which is quite easy to let go. Aaron's words are not chosen randomly; they are not offensive by accident. His words are often cunning and manipulative, which I do not appreciate. Am I at fault for being sensitive? I don't think so, but that's just my subjective opinion. I'm not a sociopath and I don't want to be one.

To be clear, I have no idea if this is true or not. Maybe he's a really nice guy and you're the ******* for putting ill intent in his posts. Maybe he's a cunning and manipulative ******* and you're an innocent victim.

I don't know, and I more or less don't care (that is, you don't need to waste your time trying to persuade me it's one way or the other).

What bothers me is the "I'm from MA, we fight back when someone disrespects us" attitude. Aaron Hernandez took exactly that attitude - someone bumped into him in a club but he took it really personally. He thought people were doing to him intentionally, to "test" him. And I'll be equally agnostic about the truth - people in clubs are *******s and if people really were bumping into him intentionally to test him, I wouldn't be surprised. He wasn't necessarily wrong in that regard.

But he was wrong about what to do about it. He could have bought a thousand pairs of shoes with his Patriots money. He could have banged the *******'s girlfriend in the bathroom. He could use his celebrity status to get that guy kicked out of the club. He could have walked off and covered his ears while people called him a pussy. He chose to hold on to it, letting it ruin his night, and ultimately, his life. And no, not every spilled drink will end up in a drive by shooting but in general things are going to work out better if you can let stuff go - even when the other person is the *******.

I'm just hanging around for the Hernandez discussion

I have definitely banged someone else's girlfriend in a bathroom before.

You have to sign up now, so I won't link to it directly, but there's a website called all look same where you can take a quiz as to what flavor of Asian a person is based on their appearance.

So if you say something disrespectful to me in a post, I should bang your wife?

In a public bathroom for maximum revenge.

And preferably then tell us about it in one or more sentences.

You owe us a story.

But post it in OOT. Otherwise, people who don't know how to skip over posts they don't want to read might complain about it for not being LHE chatter.

BBV4L more like

I should probably structure my story like that of a hand history. All opposed?

Bump this thread every time you bang callipygian's wife in a public restroom.
