That one's good, too. I daren't say anything about Trump again. The last time I used that line some guy said 'Maybe YOUR universe!' This is Arizona, after all, the state w/ more guns than teeth.

LOL YMMV I guess.

One of the huge advantages of being a middle-aged yellow nerd is that I can credibly pretend to be any political persuasion. After the 2012 presidential election, I left an upper middle class white NL table to a majority minority table plus a few metrosexuals; when confronted about my hit and run, I said I was joining the Obama Coalition to great laughter.

My crowning political trollachievement though has to be one that ended with Alan Bostick getting randomly accosted in the wee hours of the morning. An inebreated lady at my table starts off on "the 1%". I egg her on about the rich bastards yada yada yada and how the 30/60 table is full of 1%ers. To be fair there are a bunch of retired lawyers and venture capitalists, but she just really took to it and I left for unrelated reasons just after she started on the "Jew lawyer" rant. I didn't give it a second thought at the time, but then in the morning AB posts about how she walked up to him in the middle of the night, jammed a finger into his chest, and accused him of being in the 1% and the root of all evil or something. Deck the halls with boughs of lolly, trollolololololololol!

Re: 2017! NC/LC THREAD -- Small Stakes, 40 years to Mars

So I go to the dog groomer to pick up Bentley after getting his winter coif that the wife insisted that he get. (I'll admit he was a bit on the scruffy side, but damn, it is winter in TN.)

The groomer lady- who's bat**** crazy- gives me a 'to-go' doggie treat in a nifty little clear plastic bag sealed with a shiny silver twisty. It's shaped like a little dog bone with some sort of pink and green doggie holiday icing.

Me: "Thank you so much."

Her: "I made them myself."

Me: "That's great. I'm sure he'll enjoy it."

Her: "He will. My grandson liked them, too."

Have you seen the all-natural ingredient, GMO free, premium dog treats people are using these days? Not sure if they're going for a 3rd Michelin star or what, but some people are feeding their dogs better than most people eat these days.

Re: 2017! NC/LC THREAD -- Small Stakes, 40 years to Mars

Way back when and I mean waaayyyyy back, the local bank installed a now ubiquitous drive-up window. One day mom says 'I used the drive-up window and they gave me a delicious cookie. I don't need to make a deposit but I'm going to deposit $20 to get another cookie.' So I hop into the car w/ our golden retriever, she makes the deposit, and out comes a milk bone. I ask if June was in the car w/ her the day before, she says yes, I say that's a dog treat, she doesn't believe it, I convince her, she says they are delicious.

It's been 30 years and I haven't tried one yet.

I have just gone through the hardest-to-resist temptation to make a horrifying reply that I've ever experienced. I mean, that was HARD!.

4 bets with bottom boat? Don't be ridiculous.

I watched someone with top boat b/3/c because 4-bet = quads. He was right.
