Wow, at what point do you quit poker?? Those last two are beyond brutal

V2 sees this happen, and rushes forward, arches his back, and slithers through the crack, letting the door slam in my face, which is pretty lol even by Californian standards.

It's a set of double doors, so I get to witness this twice. V2 might have even clipped his elbow on the door.

Once inside the casino, V2 sprints ahead of V1 so he can be first on the list.

I pass by the security guard, return his hello, and roll my eyes. He gets it and laughs with me.

All three of us - V1, V2, and me - end up getting called at the same time for a new game.
That reminds me of when I pulled up to a red light about 1/4 mile before turning into the casino parking lot and the car behind me passed me in the left lane (a turn lane), went through the red light, and then turned into the casino parking lot.

I was like, "well, I hope that guy is in my game tonight."

to be fair in both the royal hands i only made flushes so don't lose anything crazy (just odd to see that) and the quad Aces hand only went bet-call because what can they have.

also 2-3 tabling online while playing live so lots more hands than a standard live session

Makes me feel better about my unlikely statistical anomalies tbh

The party at table 20 today was incredible, esp in the lady's section. TV poker is missing out. Someone ought to hunt games like these that everyday ppl play and show them instead of those high stakes games and tourneys full of pros. And if I didn't see ppl playing Q-3o UTG w/ my own eyes it'd take someone on here w/ solid cred to make me believe it. Naturally, I dusted off $300 right away in the madhouse but not only ended plus $200 I also hit the basketball ticket for $300.

Floor @ Hustler said they caught a few players partaking in some unethical behavior in the 8-16 game on Friday night. Apparently they were sitting next to each other and swapping cards, lol. I was there until about 11pm, so it must have happened sometime after.

More like criminal behavior. They should get arrested for that.

I asked the floor what the charge would be for that, he didn't know.

Is it illegal to cheat against other players?

I could see them getting barred but not sure if arrested.

Nah, that's just California poker.
03-19-2017 , 03:39 PM
If one of them passes the Ace that gives the other the nuts they are literally stealing from the other players. The charge would be theft but, ofc, since they aren't stealing from the casino management probably wouldn't do anything except maybe bar them hopefully for life. And that's not much of a punishment in SoCal.

LOL risking that for 8/16.

btw, there was a player (sn ab25) stuck in the Cepheus lobby for a few days locking up one of the four seats. I noticed that even he gave up and created a new account sn ab26 so I wrote to the University of Alberta computer department, asked them to fix it and also linked the NVG thread and told them it would be epic if they'd post in it but no go. I also referred to Cepheus as 'the spawn of Satan' but even that didn't get a reply. I'm disappoint. They did fix the problem, though.

I assumed those were other bits because those two accounts are constantly playing.

ab25 was playing regularly, as am I, when 'he' got stuck and then I saw ab26 which I'd never seen before. Damn thing's still the spawn of Satan.

How'd you fair the first weekend of the tournament?
03-20-2017 , 01:15 PM

Thread Doctors,

Are any normally encountered skin conditions (eczema and the like) communicable through playing cards? There was a player at the table today who was really digging into one of their hands to the point where a couple of other players were getting grossed out.
03-21-2017 , 10:09 PM
So, you're only going to be able to transfer an infection if its fungi, viral or bacteria-related. Eczema is not contagious. Athletes foot is.

Were they flakey or bloody?
03-21-2017 , 10:17 PM
Eczema is autoimmune so no. But leprosy is bacterial so yes.
03-22-2017 , 12:23 AM
More flaky, I would guess eczema or even poison oak. Or leprosy. Definitely leprosy
