Debated whether to comment, but I wonder at the self-awareness of this. No idea about your online resume, and maybe you were crushing the Stars 30/60 6m games before Black Friday? You do great in the games you play, and nobody is saying "hey, that TheDarkKnight fellow is bad at poker". As others have said, you're not playing a bunch of elite players at 8/16 and 20/40. That's OK.
There are wizards running around. I've played AvoidThe9to5 HU, and he's way better than I am. OnTheRail15 is more beast than most mortals want to plays cards with. Several other people who play here (say ZOMG and DrOlsen and others) are sick good at LHE. To bravely say "I can hold my own"? Unless you have, you probably can't. Every time I talk a hand with DosXX or DeathDonkey, they sort of shake heads sadly.
There are people who are really good at poker. If you're not playing with them already, it is probably safe to assume they're better and work on from there.
Could be you're +EV in the 3K LHE. I took that_pope's comment as neighborly good advice. If you sit daily in the Commerce 100/200 or in the Bay101 80/160 games and crush all comers, then you should probably be offended that he said "pass on a pretty tough tournament." The Monster Stack or the Colossus seem like great spots. I'm getting close to being old enough for the Seniors. The LHE events seem like way tougher once you add in juice, taxes, etc.
