some observations on ubuntu maverick vs ati radeon 1200 graphics card. no idea if it is only my box, anyways, thought i share.

- current xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.13.1 (kernel 2.6.35.22) does not seem to work very well with TableCrab (wine?).

symptoms are:

1) screenshots are broken. parts of the screenshot are black, depending on where the window you are shooting is located on the desktop
2) bet-pot is very slow to fill in the new amount into the bet box. i get 0.6 seconds with graphics driver ..0.12 seconds without - quite a difference

removing the driver (and all related submodules) fixed the problem for me but obv has side effects. can anyone confirm?

I have no idea how to confirm that for you.

TC has been working fine but I still don't know how to get that Bet Pot to work for me.

TableCrab2-0.4.1 released

PyQt4.8 has been released but sadly crashes right away. so we still have to wait some more :-(
anyways ..i think i got enough fixes together to make an intermediate release worthwile:

- in case something goes wrong along with hotkey bet-pot and an image is shown in the error dialog it can be saved to disk now (and posted here)
- you can now browse through hands via back / forward buttons in the hand viewer
- saving a hand now defaults extension to "html"
- startup time shold be improved
- there is a new advanced setting to adjust single application behaviour to your needs
- instant help now remembers zoom factor and splitter position

as usual, get the zip from here:

..unzip and run TableCrab2.exe

I recently installed TableCrab2-0.4.0 on Ubuntu 10.10 and wasn't able to make the pot betting function work.

Can someone help me with this issue? I'm using the default theme for Pokerstars.

You should probably post this in the table crab thread instead of making a new one.

looks like some users have problems setting up bet-pot. would be very helpful if you could write down what steps you took to get it set up, so i can help and* get an idea what to improve to make TableCrab easier to use for all.

TableCrab2-0.4.2 released

finally got the new PyQt release to work along with TableCrab + hopefuly found the cause of the random crash issues. a major fix is in there as well - magnifier for zooming out showed the wrong icon ;-)

just me? ..TableCrab feels snappier with Qt7 under the hood.

..maybe best to add an explicite disclaimer for the FPP calculator:

use at your own risk. no guarantee that the calculations are correct at any given time. i took the parameters from here: [ http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/earn/ ]. if anyone could verify that the calculations are ok i'd be happy.

this will definitiley affect TableCrab. expect a new release to come as soon as i get my hands on the new features + have some time to spare to get the coding done.

TableCrab2-0.5.1 released

notes:

well, found that TableCrab can not make use of too many of the new features in stars client. the new bet slider setting "jump to clicked position" looked useful to make all-ins more reliable (at least on my setup it needed readjust every now and then). for now i decided to ignore the new buttons because 1) TableCrab already provides all of their functionality 2) i feel they are actually not very useful by the mere fact that there are only three of them. also i don't want to have TableCrab interfere with these buttons (say by handing over BetPot to them) because i feel that this would require too much specific setup of the client for TableCrab.

that's the decissions i come up with for now. if anyone has anything to add, let me know. also let me know if anyone wants to actually make use of these buttons. it is quite easy to add three more points + three more hotkeys to the templates to allow triggering the buttons via keyboard.

final note: do not use this new release if the new stars features haven't arrived at your client yet. now on to the changes:

- i somehow managed to completely mess up "move mouse to active table". fixed it once again, tested multitabing, works now like a charm ;-)
- in the templates "BetSliderStart" has gone. for all-ins use "BetSliderEnd" + PokerStars bet slider setting "Jump To Clicked Position" (Options --> Bet Slider Options)
- you may disable individual templates now by prefixing their name with "disabled" (case insensitive, without quotes obv)
- in the templates point "EmptySpace" could not be adjusted. this is fixed now

good news to come in the next release for sitNgo players. if everything goes well it will bring nash calculations fetched from HoldemResources while browsing hand history files. still have to get the feature stable ..and it will be awfuly slow!!!

TableCrab2-0.6.0 released

- added support for fetching icm nash calculations from HoldemResources.net in HandViewer and HandHistoryViewer.
- TableCrab has new settings now to configure network access (Settings --> network)

notes on the new feature:

1) have to correct myself: no, the feature is not slow. actually it runs pretty fast and smooth
2) it is not yet heavily tested
3) if you choose to use it TableCrab obviously needs to access the internets
4) just to make shure i contacted PokerStars to see if this feature is ok to be used at the tables. they said: yes it is.

[QUOTE=mme;23108839]TableCrab2-0.6.1 released

a quick new release. this release does not bring many noticable changes. most important change is under the hood where i added some more checks to make shure HoldemResources.net is not flooded with requests. news is that there is now a source code release available for download as well (TableCrab2-yxz-src.zip).

i am currently thinking around on adding a player notes editor to TableCrab. not really shure if it is worth it. what i would like to see is:

1) filters, so you can filter notes by label / date / notes text
2) save filtered notes to disk

not enough to get me coding yet. more ideas anyone?

found another bug in TableCrab: hotkeyCall does not work when reraising puts you all-in. thought i inform everyone about it and that i am currently trying to figure out how to best solve the issue. not an easy one - two ways to go i guess:

1) drop check/fold checkbox handling cos this is what is currently causing the troubles
2) have TableCrab figure out when buttons are shown and when checkboxes

while 1) is quite easy 2) is a bit troublesome. it would require OCRing or color comparisons. both would require additional steps to set up TableCrab. so i currently tend to 1). any ideas/comments to stop me from dropping check/fold?

TableCrab2-0.6.4 released

this release brings some changes to templates so you may have to readjust them. theses changes are necessary to fix the "hotkey call does not work when reraise puts me all-in" issue.

- all the checkboxes in the template are gone. instead there are 5 new custom hotkeys / points for clicking table locations of your liking
- hotkeys fold/call/raise now always click the corrosponding locations. that is TableCrab is not checking anymore if the buttons are visible or not

side effect should be that it is now possible to set up TableCrab for custom table themes in a more fine grained way. for the default themes you may want to pick a point to click as fold button that overlapps the fold checkbox so you have one hotkey for both fold actions as before. iow, it is up to you if you want to click checkboxes via custom hotkey or make use of theme specific characteristics.

- and a minor fix: instant help for hotkeys is working again
