I've parsed a bit of this thread and read the website, but I'm still somewhat confused. Simple Postflop includes a pre-flop solver but in order to use it I have to purchase points [credits] to unlock it?

Is Simple Preflop the preflop solver without the credits limitation, but the licence is only valid for a duration of one-year from the date of purchase?

Simple Postflop and Simple Preflop Holdem use different approaches to solve preflop.

The main functionality of Simple Postflop is to solve 2-way postflop spots. Simple Postflop standalone license allows also to solve preflop, hovewer this calculations are 2-way only and they are without abstractions - which means the most accurate approach but it requires dramatically large resources. Even simple 2-way preflop calculation could require from dozens up to hundreads of TB RAM. We offer service of running cloud dirstributed calculation on the cluster of powerful servers - you could pay for this service with preflop points. The calculation could cost from several points up to several hundreads depending on the calculation complexity.

Simple Preflop Holdem is desinged for solving multiway preflop spots. It uses very advanced approach of simplifying postflop which allows to get accurate preflop equlibrium for preflop solutions, without requiring large resources for the calculation. So, with SPH you could solve preflops with just few GB of RAM (you could build trees in the free version and see how much RAM it would require with different parameters of calculation).

yes! you could get 2 weeks of PRO trial in the license menu of the Simple GTO Trainer and try it

Thanks, I tried the trial but I don't seem to be able to import a Pio solution. The only option in the "Solver" dropdown is "Simple Postflop":



I also tried just selecting "Simple Postflop" for "Solver", and then using the directory containing a Pio .cfr file under "Solution Directory", but when I did that I got the error "No .spf files found".

Am I doing it wrong?

You need to go the settings menu and there specify path to pio engine, then you will be able to use it for creating pio training.
