Yes. One of my development machines runs Vista x64. The problem may be related to the error that cianosheehan has reported. Could you give Beta 5 a try and let me know if you are still have problems?

Thanks,

Setting up your import folders:

To set up a new import folder:
- click the Add button.
- Fill out a unique description
- Choose the folder where you will import the hand histories from
- Choose the network (only Cake Poker Network is supported at this time)
- Check the RakeBack box if you receive rakeback and fill in the percentage (no decimal numbers)
- Check the Include Sub-Folders box if you want SharpStats to look in the sub-folders of the import folder for hand histories
- Click OK

If you ever need to change one of your import folders, delete the existing folder setup and then create a new one with the same description

Using the new Tournament Results tab:
- Make sure that you initialized the Tournament Database in the Configuration tab
- After you've imported all of your hand histories, click the "Import From Hand Histories" button
- Once SharpStats has completed the import, it will tell you how many tournaments it was able to convert
- Click on any of the tournaments in the list, and you will get a list of hand histories in the bottom-right corner. You can double-click any of these hands to get an idea of which tournament is linked to that game number
- Click the "Edit Selected" button to update the tournament information. The Date and Site Information in the Edit window should be accurate, but you will need fill in the rest. Once you have everything correct, click the "Submit" button.

Once you have a few tournaments updated, you can adjust the filter settings, choose the site and click the "Refresh" button to see your ROI statistics.

Let me know if any of this isn't clear or if I've left anything out.

Thanks,

Hey Red,
Thanks for the new release! Have installed and reimported and seems to be running fine.

When I try generate a RB report it gives: "FATAL: 3D000: database "sharptourney" does not exist.

I'm a cash game player, no tourney HH's. I chose the correct import folder and assigned the proper RB amount etc.

Cheers

Cheers. Working now. Although the results seem to be off...it says I only generated $551 Net MGR so far this month, but I've played over 15,000 hands of NL50 so I have to presume that number should be higher?

Check your "My Account" page in the Cake client software. In the bottom-right corner, it should tell you how many FPPs you've earned for the month so far. Divide that by the number of players that play at your table (i.e. divide by 6 for six-max, divide by 10 for full ring, divide by 2 for heads-up, or divide by 7 if you play tourneys/SnGs). Your MGR should be a little bit higher than that number since you don't always play at a full table.

Hope this helps,

According to the client I have 3818.50 FPP's for this month. That divided by 6 = 636.41. I'm not sure how Cake do it - is that the actual dollar representation of how much Rake I've generated?

Yeah. 1 FPP = $1 in rake collected at a table where you were dealt in or 7 FPPs for every $1 you pay in vig.

If your actually playing on Cake, and not one of the other skins, there is a VIP Status button that will display either your MGR or FPPs. Since I've never been rolled on the main skin to play cash games, I'm not sure which it is.

Go to the Database Editor tab and click the Import Errors radio button. If you could, tell me what kind of error is predominate in the list. Also, if you wouldn't mind, click one of the errors and then copy & paste the hand history into a post.

Thanks,

OK. I think I see what's going wrong now. Couple more questions:
1. Is the currency symbol usally behind the number in your country? (as opposed to the US where the $ is in front of the number)
2. Do the chip amounts look like 1,52$ or $1,52 in the unconverted hand history?

Sorry for the ignorant sounding-questions, but I want to make sure I understand the entire situation before I start to make a whole lotta changes to try and fix this for you.

Thanks,

1) YES so I tryed to change regional settings before running your programm. And it really imported hands so I can see number of them, VPIP, PrfRaise but net ammount is wrong and after importing there was the same error with the same description.
2) Here is the original HH
Hand #1800011470001157: Copenhagen (6-max) 11470

P.S. Oh, some of my HH were not in English because I had changed language settings in red star client some days ago

OK. As long as the original HHs have the dollar sign up front, I should be able to get it to work correctly for you. I'll try to get a revision out tomorrow or over the weekend.

Time for another update. Beta 5.2 is available here.

Changes for this version:
-- Bug fix in the hand converter for countries whose currency symbol normally follows the amount
-- All graphs are now complete. Choose from Cash, Cash (Individual Blind Levels), Tournament, and Tournament Results
-- PFR, VPIP, and WTSD stats are added back into the Hold'Em "Hands" tables
-- Database Maintenance section added to the Configuration tab. You can now VACUUM ANALYZE both your main and tournament databases from within SharpStats (recommend every 100k hands or after deleting 100 hands). For those of you with large databases (200k+ hands), you can now add some indexes to the database to help speed up searches. ** Note ** I highly recommend that you do NOT set these indexes until you've imported all of your old hand histories. These indexes will slow down import speeds, paricularly when you importing a large number of hands.

That's it. I hope to start working on some filters for the next phase of development and I would really like to get some opinions. What kind of filters would everyone like to see?

Thanks,

Looks like you've used the first version of Beta 5. There's no need to reinitialize the database unless you were having import problems similar to kamyshen's.

If you were having problems, or you just want to start fresh, follow these steps:
1) Start up SharpStats
2) Click the "Reset Database" button -- note that you have to do this before you access the database in any way or else you will get the "user currently logged into the database" error
3) Click the "Initialize Database" button
4) Move any hands that you imported previously from the Working folder into your import folder
5) Import your hand histories

Hope this helps,

You mentioned filters but maybe you could add something that deals with $/hour. It would be really usefull if we could somehow figure out for how long we actually play any given day.

Thanks for the tracker. You are doing a great job.

I don't think that's going to be possible because there's no time mark in a Cake HH.

Hey, thanks for making this stats tracker for us cake users.

I've been messing around with it for a few days now and I found that my hand histories are not importing for anything after March 3rd. I've tried reinstalling and completely wiping the DB from postgres admin with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Oops

I think you are right.

Then perhaps you could add a filter that displays the number of sessions per given day (in the date tab) and then number of average number of hands per session. So if we played on one table in 2 different sessions in one day, we could somehow account for it, and then I could figure out $/h from there

Are they cash game HHs or tournament?

I'll take a look into this, but I may have to implement a variation to get close to what you are looking for. Would something like this work?

Date Table # # of Hands Stats
Jan 1, 2009 xxxxx11980 112 etc
Jan 1, 2009 xxxxx12689 101 etc
Jan 2, 2009 xxxxx11980 73 etc
Jan 2, 2009 xxxxx12689 43 etc

Basically, this would group the hands for each table by date.

Both cash and tournaments won't import.

Whenever I click import now it quickly flashes the name of one of the HH docs. and says import completed but if I click the button multiple times it is always the same file that flashes in the current file box. I tried removing the file it appeared to hang on but a different file would just take its place.

Ithi,
Could you please email the problem hand histories to redlotus5@sbcglobal.net? I only have one hand history from after March 3 and it imports fine. As always, scrubbed HHs will work.

Thanks,
