I have a feature request.

Lets say you have two different slot sizes for the same type of window. When moving from a slot to another of a different size, the windows need to be resized to fit in the slot. Currently I just maximise twice to fix the issue. either with the mouse or Alt Space X.


for example I have my regular slots, and then the special bigger slots on the tables I want to pay attention to.

Is there a way to automate that? Hopefully should be simple enough...

Can you do a better job explaining what the issue is? The window should be resized to the new slot size. Did you uncheck Size in the window group options? Is the window being resized, but the table is being cut off? I'm also not sure how maximizing twice would be any different than just doing it once.

Ok here goes.

I have two displays. I create a 2*2 grid of slots on one and a 3*3 on the other( under the same group). so obviously these slots have different sizes.

when I move a window from one sized slot to the other, the window will retain its original size, and there will be junk in the extra area that it now has. Or if moving to a smaller slot, some part of the window will be cut off.

Through trial and error I figured out that maximizing the window twice allows it to find the best fit for the current slot.

All options other than "Send F5" are enabled

Oh and another simple question. What happens if the title bar changes after placemint has picked up a window for placement?

Interestingly enough, this is the one you want. For whatever reason, PokerStrars (which I assume you are using) tables do not always redraw correctly when the window is resized by a program vs by hand. Follow the instructions on the wiki as there is another step beyond checking the box.

If the title changes and still conforms to the expression(s) of the window group, the title is updated in the tree view. If the title no longer matches, it will be dropped from the list and not watched.

The code you wrote for sprstoner did not solve the issue I was having (tables resized too small are not recognized by Placemint). I would definitely appreciate it a lot if you were able to write a regex that solved my issues. Thx

Sourceforge move the wiki at some point after it was initially made. It can be accessed here or under the Hoseted App tab (unfortunately, the tab is not shown until you click the develop link).

Please post more window titles that are not being matched. The one you posted earlier is matched by the expression.

a possible bug report:

I created a group placemint and select a custom regular expression Placemint\sv2.1 and another group for my media player.

There have been times I have restarted placemint and the custom regular expressions have disappeared. The text box on the settings page is blank( custom chckbox is still checked. So it doesnt place the media player or the placemint wndow.

I imagine i could go the edit regexlist and have a more lasting solution that way, but just reporting that this has happened frequently. Around 33% ( could be selective memory) of the times I have restarted placemint. Wonder if anyone can recreate the issue.

( Yes i did save the configuration)

This is actually a known issue. However, I haven't had time to sit down and find out the source of the bug.

All of the titles you posted are matched by the updated expression I posted for PokerStars Tournaments & SNGs. Please make sure you have it entered exactly how I had it above.

I use a different layout depending on the number of tables I'm playing. I have a group for 6 tables, for 9 and 12. Each time I want to change to a different layout I have to go to Configure and enable the one I want and disable the others. They all use the same regex.

Would there be some quicker/better way of doing this? Some hotkey maybe that enables/disables groups?

does the windows areo theme clash with this?

You can save two separate configuration files and then use the recent files menu to switch between them.

Any theme you use will not have an effect because PlaceMint only cares about the window title.

it works fine in aero for me with the caveat that it appears to clash with TableNinja-FT (haven't tried mixing TN-PokerStars and PlaceMint).

I have a bug lately that deems this program un-usable. When i have Holdem Manager running, placemint moves my tables around continuously. They never start switching positions. Its like a christmas light show. I have pinpointed it to being only when Holdem Manager Auto-Import is running. Any ideas?

can someone please help me with a partypoker regex? All tables are recognized correctly except 50BB Min tables. The Window Title is "50BB Min #xxxx"

Which expressions are you using? PlaceMint should not be moving any windows on it's own, except for the initial move when the window is found, everything is reactionary. You have the most recent PlaceMint and whatever the recent release of HEM is?

Are you sure that is the window title and not the table title? I just opened Party and the 50BB tables matched your description in the lobby, but when they opened up looked like "50BB Min #1467310 (No DP) - NL Hold'em - $15/$30"
