For what this program does, it is ******edly complex, and not in the slightest bit intuitive to figure out. (also, anything that requires the use of RegEx automatically makes people's heads explode)

Have you read the How To documentation? Do you have question about the the setup? I have no problems with spending a little time to help people have a better understanding of how things come together.

I understand that RegEx's are not very user friendly. This is why you can download a pre-made list and all you have to do is select the one that applies, no need to understand the RegEx. If you play on a site that is not presently on the list, you can ask for it in this thread. EasyDoesIt has been nice enough to help increase the number of supported sites.

yes, the "Swap on New Find" checkbox is unchecked.

I guess that the Fulltilt client might remember the position where the last table is closed, and always open a new table there. possible?

That is correct. Full Tilt tries to remember where a table should be positioned. So you will get a half second flash of the new table coming into existence, where FT made it, before PlaceMint notices and moves it.

is there a way to force a new table to pop up in a certain position?

Unfortunately the only thing that has control of where a window is positioned when it is created is the program that creates the window. The best we can do is try to find windows as soon as they are made visible. To do this, you can make the Update Frequency a smaller number. The default is to do 5 scans a second (200ms), so you can adjust that if you care enough.

I have PlaceMint going with Betfair and a 2 monitor set up.

When configuring a group window, although PlaceMint seems to place windows on the second monitor in the right place (eg check "show" and the sample places are correct for all the tables on both monitors), when we load the PlaceMint file, all the windows suddenly jump back to Monitor 1, ie still the right size but with the tables that should have been on monitor 2 now showing on the wrong monitor.

Incidentally whenever I resize a Betfair window on Monitor 2, it also jumps straight over to Monitor 1....

Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!

I have been working with this for a while and it looks like a very useful tool however I can't seem how to get it setup for using a stack say in the top left say 10 tables, and then setup 2 or 3 alternate slots where I can drag important tables to and easily return them to the stack when I am done.

Maybe I am just missing how to accomplish this.

Great program btw!

Hi

I have some problems with stars tables being cropped when they are moved into a slot:

How can this be fixed so tables are resized within the slot?

I have this problem with Stars too, but I think it's a Stars refresh issue rather than a PlaceMint issue. I just click the border of the window and it resizes in the slot but am interested to know if anyone had managed to solve this properly.

Stars Planner code to solve it:

Quote:
;----------- IMPORTANT -------------;
;
; Add the following line:
;
; f5redrawtable=1
;
; to the [Options] section in your
; PokerStars "User.ini" file, ...

Thanks, it got better. I still get some weird rendering lines sometimes at the edges of the tables. However I noticed that only occurs when I use the hyper simple table theme. Using the classic theme it seems to work "perfect".

Same happens sometimes at microgaming too btw, but only when opening tables. Clicking the edge fixes it.

tagWAG,
Check your PM box. I want to see if I can reproduce the error your getting.

phaze112,
This just has to do with you planning out your layout. In the configuration window, you just have to position the slots as you described them. You can use the show checkbox if that lets you visualize it better.

Everyone else,
Let me look into sending an F5 keystroke, but I'm guessing that it would be an easy thing to add.

Yea, I got that part. I want a stack of say 10 tables in the top left, but it doesn't allow more than one window in a given slot, or rather I can't figure out how.

Like I would like a standard stack in the top left (quadrant 2) and 3 alternate spots (quadrant's 1, 3, 4). The 1,3,4 works well and i can move them in and out but the stack quadrant in the top left I can't figure out how to get more than one window in that upper left quadrant...

Create 10 slots in the top left corner?

Hi,

I'm playing Double up or nothing STT's on Pokerstars and I have problem with Placemint not picking up tables in the first two levels:

[ ] Tournament 114210908 Table 1 - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds $10/$20
[ ] Tournament 114210908 Table 1 - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds $15/$30
[x] Tournament 114210908 Table 1 - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds $25/$50 Ante $5
[x] Tournament 114210908 Table 1 - No Limit Hold'em - Blinds $50/$100 Ante $10
etc...

I'ts not the 25/50 part that does it but the ante part, amirite?
I don't fully understand the Regexp so maybe someone could look into this.

Thanks in advance

In what way does it not work? Are you getting the windows to move into the slots at all?

Thanks for an amazing app!

A question on the expressions.
I was unable to get the downloaded expression to work for pokerstars, however I am able to stack my tables using a very simple expression '^Tournament' (I understand this may be to simplistic)

How do i create an expression to exclude Tournament Lobbys?

for example:
Tournament 114299121 Lobby

Thanks.

I'm not sure how else to explain it. I can't get them to stack on top of eachother in a "slot". So really there aren't a bunch of slots it's just one slot that I want to stack say 10 windows in.

And then have 3 other slots that are just for one window each, this part I can do and it works.

But how can I have all the stack of say 10 windows all in the top left slot, it keeps trying to switch things out when I put more than one window in a slot.

I can't explain this any better I don't think.

You need to create 10 slots, all with the same dimensions and location.

nuli,
You should be able to use '^Tournament\s\d+\sTable'. It can obviously be more specific, but it will work.

phaze112,
I finally figured out what you are trying to say. When PlaceMint is trying to find the closest slot, it measures the distance between the window and the slot. If two slots have the same distance, the one that cam first is used. Therefore, you will never be able to drag a window into slot 2 is if slot 1 and 2 are exactly stacked.

I can put in something to favor empty slots as a tie-breaker, but that won't do anything when all the slots are full. So if you wanted to move a table from the stack you would have to drag the window from the stack to the one it is replacing, not the other way around.

The other option would just to make a small cascade and then you won't have the problem at all.

Ah ok. It is a great program and very good job coding it, I think I will actually use it for internet browsing. But i'm curious if you know of a good program or script that is more built for stack play and moving once in a while a window out of the stack and then putting it back i the stack with maybe, a one press hotkey ...

The reason why a stack is advantageous as opposed to a slight cascade is the placement of the "fold" and "raise" bar is always in the same place and makes for very fast decision making, something very important when multi tabling.

Well thanks for the help, much appreciated

PlaceMint can do hotkey swapping. Assign a hotkey to each off you three "playing" slots. Then when an active table comes up on the stack that you want to play, you can press the hotkey to move the active window into a "playing" slot.
