Yes, there are a lot of really good courses within a very short drive, so it's perfect for a golf holiday - we played 5 rounds in the 6 days we were there and all the courses were great.

People were great, food was fantastic and I'm definitely going back

I might hit that in the near future. Will probably go for like a month or so and also GRIND. Poker / golf & fun would be nice.

On ValueCheck now, I have just tested the new version on a different computer, with Win7 with PT3 this time (previously had HM and it behaved as I told you) and it seemed to work with PT3...
I had an alias set up on PT3, and at first I pointed ValueCheck to the name of the player, but didn't work. Only worked after I pointed it to the name of the alias.
But still not working on the computer with HM.

I think so - I'm looking at it now and will try a quick rewrite to see if that fixes it.

Sounds like the perfect combination Make sure you try Lykia Links if you go - it's about half an hour drive away from the other courses but it was the best and most fun course we tried down there. Big, wide fairways for driving fun but lots of bunkers and thick rough to still make it challenging. Beautiful course and since it's out by the coast it's not quite as hot as the others.
Will post some pictures later.

Yea, I think it's related to how single sns and aliases are being looked up - I'm not sure if everyone who has problems with this are using it against a singel sn, but it is possible it can be fixed by setting up an alias for that sn instead - I'm still not sure just why it wouldn't work though, but the previous version looked up singel sns and aliases separately while the new one does it in one go.

There won't be a new version today - as I worked on it, I realized that the rewrite I had in mind wouldn't really do anything sensible to solve the problem

Re: New software: ValueCheck (StopLoss tool)

Version 1.0.2 is out.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will do much to help the people who have the issue where nothing but the time is being updated - I have added some extra checks and made a small change to some of the queries, but nothing I really think will do much to fix it yet.

I'm sorry to not have this one figured out yet, but it's really difficult to bug hunt when I can't recreate the issue on any of my machines. I have gone through the SQL queries a ton of times to try to find something there, but I really can't see why it wouldn't work as well for everyone as it does for me.

I'm curious to know if anyone who uses this against an alias is also having this problem? If you have this problem and are using a single sn, then please try making an alias with only that sn in it in HM and see if it works when using the alias in ValueCheck instead.

It works fine for me against both an alias and a single sn, but it is possible that's because I've always had at least one alias present.

Anyway, the reason for the new version is that I've added a new menu item under the 'Settings' menu called 'High point activation settings...'. This will allow setting a minimum high point that has to be reached before the 'loss from high point' alert is activated.

For instance, if you have the 'lost from high point' target set to 100 bb and the 'minimum high point reached' set to 50, you will not be alerted by this alert unless you've made 50 bb before you lose 100 bb from that high point.

Re: New software: ValueCheck (StopLoss tool)

I can't get it to work. When I start the check it tells me I have played my total number of hands (16k on pokerstars) and starts going off straight away, any ideas?

Did you try making an alias in HM and run it against that instead of a single sn?

Quick update on this - I've struggled quite a bit with trying to figure out the database-structure for HM2. It's very different from HM and PT3 and it's not really currently possible to make it work with ValueCheck (at least not with my knowledge of the database-structure and SQL).

On the HM-forums though, Roy told me there would be an API out soon to give access to the "hidden bits" that are "missing" from the database, so once that is released, I should be able to add support for HM2.

Looking to upgrade to HM2 as soon as possible myself, so support for that in VC is definitely something I'd like to make happen asap.

Not had any replies to the other HM-issue btw - does this mean the 'alias'-suggestion worked or that people have just given up?

When we could use it with HEM 2? Or maybe it's possible now, but I had missed how to do it?

I'll have to wait for Roy (creator of HM) to release the API for HM2 before this is possible.

Unlike HM (and PT3) it is not possible to get all the information needed directly from the HM2 database, but Roy says he'll release an API that will make this information available to 3d party programs.

I have no information on when this will be available though - with the somewhat shaky release of HM2 (or so I hear), I assume they'll focus on make that stable before they get around to the API.

Re: New software: ValueCheck (StopLoss tool)

No update on the API as far as I know, but I have been told that HM2 will get its own stoploss-alarm functionality (as a free addition), so valuecheck will probably not be necessary for HM2 at all.

This is not good at all! I like this small but very useful program!

Thank you

Should the API get released before this stoploss functionality is added to HM2, or the added functionality doesn't do everything VC does, I'll probably make VC work with HM2 too.

Can't do much until the API is out either way unfortunately

Re: New software: ValueCheck (StopLoss tool)

I don't believe (though I haven't asked lately) that the needed API has been released yet - my understanding was that that was going to happen fairly soon after HM2 had been released, but I guess they've had their hands full with other stuff since then.

Without the API, I can't access a lot of the stuff I need to for this, since it's not all stored in the database for HM2 (like it is for HM and PT3).

Also, I was told that HM2 would get its own built in stoploss-functionality, but also don't know when that'll happen (if it hasn't already, I haven't been keeping up with HM2 the past few months).

Re: New software: ValueCheck (StopLoss tool)

Yes, it is.

Though you may not take my word for it - it's been out for over a year (current version is from september last year) and nobody has reported any suspect behaviour. It doesn't connect to the internet at all and interacts with no other programs on your computer - all it does is read from the HM/PT3-database.

Legit as it may be - it only works on HM and PT3 though - so if you have anything newer than that, there's no point downloading it. I don't think it'll get updated for the newer trackers for reasons explained earlier ITT.
