New version is out: http://home.haugnett.no/minusev/ValueCheck.zip

This is a new program and I'd recommend keeping the old one installed until you've verified that the new one works at least as good as that one.

This is especially true if you use PT3 as my trial version of PT3 has run out and I've therefore not been able to do any live testing with that. I have run some checks to verify as well as I can that the database accesses look correct, but keep an eye out

New interface should hopefully be easy to understand (and a lot less cluttered than the old version).

Start in the 'Database Setup' tab and set up your tracker and db-details. Select your tracker and click 'Reset to default' to have it auto fill the default db-details and then change them if you need to. Make sure you test the connection (Test Connection button) and then type in your sn/alias in the 'Select new player' box and choose the right one.

Set up your targets and which values to show in the 'Session Setup' tab. Start the session by clicking 'Start Check' on the Session tab. This tab replaces the old separate Session Window and is where you see the values if you choose to do so.

The options tab holds the old options as well as the new 'Snooze' and 'Manual session start'-options:

Click 'Enable Snooze Button' to have this appear on the 'Session' tab and choose the number of minute(s) you want the snooze to last for. The button will only be enabled (unghosted) when the alarm goes off.

The Manual Session Start will allow you to click the button to set the start of the session - if this functionality is not selected, a new session will start every time 'Start Check' is clicked in the 'Session' tab. Click the 'Reset Session Start' to set the start point for the session - this will then be the start point for your session until the next time you click the button or deselect the 'Enable manual Session Start' option.

Sound setup can now be found under the 'Settings' menu-item.

The settings and values you change should now stay when a new version is installed, but since this is a new program, it will not get the values you've changed in the old one.

Let me know if you run into any problems or have any comments/suggestions

Yes, new sound is definitely an improvement
I agree it could be more compact - I am planning on making it resize better and also have a few other ideas to make it take up less space.

Yes, sorry about that - I only use the bb-alert, and forgot to check the dollar one.

It's been fixed and a new version is available ( http://home.haugnett.no/minusev/ValueCheck.zip ).

Do we still need to reconfigure everything ever time we install and update? Big drag if so, esp if you selected alternate sounds like I have.

No, it should remember the settings when installing a new version now (won't work the first time you install this new version though, since it's a different program than the old one, but from here on out, it should (if all goes as planned ))

I cannot reopen the program once it is minimized to tray

You should be able to restore it by double clicking the ValueCheck icon in the system tray?

strangely I can't. It shows up in the taskbar like other active programs but I can't get it to show up on the screen anymore after minimizing it.

Hmm - I'm not able to recrate it here - it always pops up when I double click the icon.

You don't have any other windows up that could block it? In that it pops up but is hidden behind something else? Have you selected just 'minimize to tray' or 'minimize at start' also? What OS are you running?

I have minimize on start and run Windows 7. I will try to restart my computer and see if that helps. I'll let you know if it works

New version looks good. But reads the stats from my total database instead of day/session

Ex. Hands Played = 230,000

Have you got "enable manual session start" selected? If so, you have to click the reset button to set the session start.

HM2 is not supported yet, but shouldn't be too far off.

Next update will add some basic support for Logitech G13, G15 and Z10 (and possibly G19) displays - I'll start looking into HM2 after that.

Do you mean you have clicked the 'reset session start' button or just that you have 'enable manual session start' enabled? If the latter, you have to press the reset button for it to know when to start the session.

If you have pressed the reset button, does it work correctly if you deselect 'manual session start'? Are you using PT3 or HM?

Does it work (start from when you click the "start check" button) if you deactivate manual session start?

Snooze button is only activated when there's an alert that can be 'snoozed'.

An option to set the minimum high point for the "lost from high point" warning would be nice.
