Is there any way to have this work anymore or is there an alternative that will track sessions?
I don't have PT4 installed, so I can't check myself, but it seems strange if the connection to the database should suddenly stop working.

If anyone else who uses PT4 is still hanging around this thread, perhaps they could confirm/deny whether or not it's still working for them?

I've used this software till today... I've change the DB and your tool doesn't work anymore. I double checked and test the connection to the DB and it was successful. No hands are tracked basically... any idea?

What tracker are you using?

Have you checked that you have chosen the right nick and started the session?

Hmm - should work then.

Have you re-selected your username after changing the DB? I'm actually not sure if it blanks out the username when the db is changed - it should if it doesn't, as it's not based on the actual name but the database-id which will change with a new db.

Only other things I can think of is to make sure that there are some targets checked to be tracked in the 'session setup'-folder and that the 'enable manual session start' is not checked in the 'options'-folder (it'll usually track hands even if this is checked, but there may be issues with the local time and date if it is).

I reselected my username and it worked...

I have another question if you don't mind
I've installed VC and then copy and paste its folder to another location. Ideally I want to use 2 instances of your program, with different settings (and I don't want to reset all the times). The problem is, settings aren't save in the copied folder... what can I do?

Good to hear it's working again

For your second question, I don't think this is possible unfortunately.

The settings are stored in the appdata folder for your user so they will follow the user you're logged in as and not the program location.

So if you're looking to run two instances of the program at the same time, with different settings, I don't think that can be done.

If you just want to run one of them at a time, but with different settings, it may be possible to operate with two different config-files (renaming the folder each time to switch to the one that should be active) but obv that is pretty fiddly as well.

Creating a second windows-user, and switch between the two, should work too, but will possibly/probably cause issues for other programs that are installed by user.

Ty a lot man
I try to run to instances, I'll report to you if I got some problems...

May I root for a feature? Total lost/won in a given day instead over a session...
cheers and ty again for your program

Code for this program is stored somewhere on some harddrives that were shelved several machine-changes ago and is unlikely to be dug up and developed further I'm afraid. Not saying it'll never happen, but...

You can get something similar done by using the 'enable manual session start'-function though.

It allows you to manually decide when a session starts so by enabling it, and then clicking the button at the start of the first session each day, it'll keep the totals until you click it again.

This will be in effect for all the targets/numbers though and not just total lost/won so it may not be exactly what you're looking for.

I have a very strange issue. Basically my pc rebooted randomly and then VC doesn't work anymore. I tried to remove and reinstall it, but it doesn't work either. If you look in the folder you can see the icon is missing from the executable... any ideas?

That folder looks as it should - the .exe does not have a icon, but it should be added when the program is installed and put on the desktop.

Are you trying to start the valuecheck.exe-file? If so, what happens - is there an error message? You should just be able to double click that, either in the folder or with a shortcut and have it start.

If it's just that the icon is missing, you can right click on valuecheck.exe and choose 'send to...' -> desktop (create shortcut) and then right click it on your desktop and choose 'properties' and then 'change icon...' and choose the one that is in the folder where vc is.

The shortcut has it while the exe don't and I'm sure before the mess it had. I tried several times to start VC via .exe or shortcut, no error but nothing pops up

Sounds strange - I don't know how to fix that.

Tried installing it to a different location than it used to be in?

Have you set your targets and clicked the checkboxes for what you want to track in the 'Session setup' tab?

Hi MinusEV.

Valuecheck shows a small negative result in green, but if it was already around 4$ in minus, it shows in red - as it should be. I have a version v.1.0.3a
Can you fix it somehow?

Hey,

As mentioned in the pm, I no longer have the source code for VC, so no fix for this

No - Holdem manager (only the first) or PokerTracker 3 and 4 only.
