For some reason RM is crashing every time I try to either edit a default Player Type or create a new one. Actually, the only way I even know how to "finish" editing/creating a Player Type is to make the changes then close the tab at the top, and when it asks if I want to save changes before closing I just attempt to save it (I didn't see a Save button or anything in the actual window). That's when RM gives me an "email this bug to RM" error thing and crashes after I close that. HALP!

It's also not letting filter stats after running the simulation to narrow down the results (object ref not pointing to instance of object). FWIW I have both tourney and cash hands in my DB but it's 99% MTT.

Yeah it seems that I'm either pretty dumb or a lot of stuff isn't working for me. I just tried to expand a decision branch and the only option it will allow past that decision (which is a 4bet pre) is having villain flat the 4bet, when folding and 5betting are still clear options.

edit: I guess that just means the only hands it found that pass through the filters I set have villain flatting the 4bet and never 5betting or folding? That would make sense, although it might look better to have the options displayed anyway with a 0% next to them or something to get the point across that either A) you don't have a big enough sample to analyze this situation thoroughly or B) if your sample is big enough and that line never happens then that's probably important

Are you submitting the email? You can click file->save or CTRL+s to save the player type.

Are the stats finished loading at the bottom? Please submit the auto errors when possible because they provide valuable information for bug fixing.

There are definitely some problems with the software so while I am not qualified to judge your intelligence, it is probably the latter of the two The problem is that the software has been reinvented multiple times and never gets top priority for development since NoteCaddy requires such an insane amount of support. It is going to be something special eventually but it's so hard to find time to work on it.

I will try to make it clearer. Thanks for your feedback.

WTF?

It's hard to comment on it without some information about what you were doing in the software. It is very possible for RM to use that much memory though. If you increase the maximum hand results in settings, for example. I'm also not even sure it's a problem that it uses so much memory. Computers should have 4 gb minimum preferably more. RM is a very intense software, loading many thousands of hands and doing analysis + equity calcs on them in just a few seconds.

It just tried to index my database (6m hands, but I set in filters to index only hands from 0.5/1 It's about 2m hands).

Do you really think that's not a huge problem to use that much memory? Or just kidding me?
04-16-2013 , 08:54 PM
For indexing it shouldn't use that much. For other things I think it's ok - especially if you have free memory. Do you need 90% of your memory empty? If I was just kidding I would have put hahahahahahahahahahaha at the end of my post. Note how that was missing

OK, kidding is not that word, maybe trolling? Seriously I've never seen that program use that much memory.

So, what should I do? I want to use your program but I can't.

Check this thread in ~2 weeks. There are many enhancements that aren't released yet. I will post here when the new version is ready

Any news?

Version 0.3 was uploaded yesterday. I tried doing exactly what you described by making a big database and having a filter which only indexed some stakes and it worked well without consuming too much memory

How long RangeMaster create his own database? I'm waiting 15 minute yet, but my database has 6m hands about.
05-17-2013 , 08:48 AM
Are you referring to the step in the wizard or the indexing that's done after you run the wizard?

I think I know the problem, you already had a database and then went through the wizard and created a new database with the same name. I just replicated that and it will freeze forever if you do that. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will make a fix for that by Monday latest. I think you can still run though if you close it and reopen

Your program take all computer memory every time. So I can't work with it. I purged my database, created new databases many time, but the problem is still the same.

Every time I run the program it starts to indexer my hands. I have 236k hands in my special database for RangeMeister and program always begin to indexer from 89k hands. Is it a bug? Can I pm you a log?

hi,

This project is being suspended indefinitely/cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will PM a mod to lock/delete the thread
02-15-2014 , 05:21 PM
but why
02-17-2014 , 01:58 PM
There wasn't ever a lot of interest in it. I still work on it when I can but there's no guarantee if/when it ever becomes public again
02-17-2014 , 02:25 PM
Open source it please.

That's funny I had a dream 4 nights ago that I open sourced everything. I had 102 fever though at the time

RM uses the same engine as NC so not likely anytime soon

the beta crashes for me all the time and is lagging

and im still trying to use it.

i just never heard the software mentioned by anyone or in any thread

i just think people just dont know about it
and people that were trying to use it were scared off by it being so unstable
