Awesome!

Just downloaded and will try tonight

I dont think its working

I have tried a few HHs and get no results each time.

You know from NC I have a big DB and I used RM in the past, Id expect to get a result from at least on of them.

Best wishes

The problem could actually be that you used RM before. It's very different now and if you're still using the database that the first version created, that could be the problem.

I recommend deleting the RM database and then re-running the setup wizard. You'll also have to re-index

I already did that.

BTW I haven't used RM since I re installed my PC a couple of months ago.

Do you want to have a look via teamviewer?

Could it be anything to do with Postgres 9?

Are you searching for cash or tournament hands? I just tested cash on a pt3 database and it worked well...

I will add logging in the next day or two
10-05-2011 , 01:29 PM
cash only

0.2.0.1 is out and the logging works now. Go to file->settings->general settings and enable logging. Then do a search and send me the log. If possible, please turn off indexing prior to logging as the indexing does its own logging that will clutter it.

I don't think this is postgres 9 because that would give a more violent answer

are you guys using filtering? I got your log stu but it didn't tell me what I thought it would. I just uploaded 0.2.0.2 with much more verbose logging so if you guys want to send me a(nother) log then it's much appreciated

thx for the logs guys and sorry I couldn't fix it yesterday. Version 0.2.0.3 is uploaded and ready to auto patch now if you restart RM. The issue you both had was that RM thought you were trying to do filtering and all hands were excluded. I have removed that "feature" for now so hopefully it works. I also enhanced logging to show why exactly all hands were failing the filter test

my hard drive just crashed so it might have to wait a bit
looking forward to try it

Filtering doesn't work but that's normal you disabled it. am I right?

otherwise it seems to be working fine. I had one incident (key not found or something!?) but that seem to have disapeared now that i have been more patient and the hands have finished indexing

So...you just have to fix the filtering now

Thanks for the update

If you send me another log, it will contain the details of why filtering is failing for you.

when I filter i end up with no hands . log sent.
looks very promessing tho. Good luck
10-17-2011 , 11:54 PM
did you get the log?
10-18-2011 , 07:09 AM
I got it - sorry for not responding sooner but HEM released thousands of new beta codes so I got swamped with new NoteCaddy users. I will release patches for both programs within the next week and hopefully the filtering will be addressed for RM

thanks for sending the log

if I can also make a suggestion:

I was trying to get an idea of some opponents calling range when I open shove 12bb deep but I can't do that. it will show similar hand that I have raised and villain called but not necessarily "All In" (there is no action filter for that). I would be nice if we could.

Are you making any progress with the filtering?

PS: please keep developing this soft. it will be a great tool!

thanks for keeping this thread alive

I did some fixes for the filtering but the NC code is a little unstable now since there were huge changes made to make it 4x faster in hm2. Unfortunately the deployment system was developed so public releases can only be done for both projects at once so it's going to be a few more days at least. Luckily, I have some very awesome users making that much easier.

As far as the 12bb scenario, I can see how there could be an issue despite the fact that you can filter by stack size... This is the kind of feedback that I really need since I no longer play poker regularly. A big thank you is in order there

With respect to this project's future, I am trying to set up a collaboration with a good player whom I respect enormously. It's a little strange to me that the second version of this software is DOA when the far inferior first version gained momentum faster than NoteCaddy did

In any case, I will at the very least add the feature where it auto scans your sessions and recommends hands for review. Then I will try to actually play poker again and use the software myself and determine what value it provides

I can guaranty you that you will get some taker once it is working and what the soft does becomes known.
As far as I know, there are no others soft like this out there. In my previous example for instance even with HEM, I cannot get this information. Knowing what a certain type of opponent typically calls a shove 12 BB deep would be of great value. This is just an example but I can think of many others as valuable.

Get it working and I will certainly be one of the one recommending it.
