when i try it with poker stars hand histories, i get the following error message:

System.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
bei HandHistoryMerger.Form1.Button1_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
bei System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)

sorry for the german message, dont know how to get it in english.

are your hand histories in german? i think it will only work with english HHs

hi, they are in english, but i just realized the reason might be that they are from a pokerstars home game. here is one as an example:

and another thing: do you know how to merge two videos, so that both players in a HU match record their session and then make one video with both their hole cards revealed out of it?

hi, i just wanted to tell you that everything works fine. i looked at the hand histories and did some simple search and replace, so that the home game histories look like regular histories and then it works perfectly well.

alright, i've uploaded a new version. it should now support new pokerstars hand histories as well as home games.

this version uses a separate text file to store parsing rules for hand histories, so now anyone with some knowledge of regular expressions can add support for their favorite site. each entry looks like this:
the "FirstLineRegex" field is an expression that should match the first line of each hand history. the "HoleCardRegex" field should match the line in the HH where your cards are given. the "HandIDCaptureRegex" field should contain a parenthesis group ( ) around the hand ID number.

Looks like PokerStars has changed the text in their home game hands. To get them loading into the merger, open the file sites.txt and add the following after the last "</Site>":
