If you're using chrome, I believe you can click the install button and it will just work, as wull said.

depends on your browser / os. in firefox, they are stored in your profile, which you can move, backup, sync. there are various methods, not sure what the most up to date one is.

For me, on win7, the actual file the notes are stored in is pref.js:

C:\Users\JG\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profil es\rdxwabsv.default

This is awesome! There is some warning about the script being able to access all of my data. Should I be worried? If not, why not?

Is it open source? I don't see the link to source on the provided URL.

It is open source. When I downloaded it I looked but I guess OP could come in and point out its location as it took a little searching till I found it initially

lol it magically resolved itself and started working again.

can't reproduce the error and done nothing to fix it (I restarted the computer a couple of times though)

fwiw it was on the newest FF and win7 64b but seemlingly restarting fixed it so no real need to look into it further, thanks

@subandi, probably some firefox weirdness. i'll notice random extensions break sometimes when i have ff open for days at a time, and i just have to restart it.

hmm stopped working again for me after a restart - next restart didn't fix it yet but will keep you posted
there was a FF update after the 1st restart though but there are no messages indicating it messed something up
