Free Script: Take Notes On Other 2p2 Posters!! - Poker Software -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

I wrote this script a while back and never posted it here. Lets you to take notes here in the forums.

Step 1 Cick the person's undertitle to open up the notes window

Step 2 Type Your Note

Step 3 Click undertitle again again to save. Note will now appear under their avatar:

Works in Firefox and Chrome and probably others. You can download it here:

EDIT: forget to mention you can include html in the notes in case you want to link back to the post that inspired your comment...

I've thought of that, but havn't actually done it myself bc havn't had a need yet. It's stored in ff preferences, however, so I know that there are methods to do it. Or if you're in chrome, or some other browser, there will be analogous methods.

I *think* that would sync up the data where the notes are stored, but I havn't tested it. In any case, there is definitely a way to do it and tutorials out there, if you are willing to search a bit and test.

Small bug, can't work out how to delete notes.

- make a note
- click on it
- highlight all text and delete
- can't save it

what browser are you on? I'm on ff and that is the method I use to delete and it works. But I'll see if I can figure out what's going on if you lmk what browser/os you're on.

yeah, i can think of a few improvements I can make including that one, such as auto creation of links and auto creation of link to this post with some kind of keyword like {thispost}. It has like 70 downloads now, if it gets to few hundo I'll probably spend some more time on it.

The notes are stored in your FF profile folder, in a file called prefs.js. For me, on win7, it is located:

C:\Users\GM\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profil es\wjxaurysv.default

Here's an article on how to sync profiles and extensions across multiple cpus:

Perhaps too much work for just my script, but syncing your extensions is probably pretty nice to do just in general, so might be worth it.

yeah that's not suprising since it needs to assume a certain DOM structure to do everything, and that structure would be different on the single page view.
