It is appdata\fpdb and it has the three config files .bak, example and the regular config file. I went ahead and copied the correct ones over those already there. However, they had not been accessed for months. I think my setup has always just looked in the c:\Program Files\FPDP0.12\ ..... oops, maybe that is the problem. I renamed the FPDB directory to "FPDB-0.12"... I'll go change that back and see what happens. Right now, other than the delete, then it installing the example file (really the config file now) everything else basically works.

Like someone else mentioned, there's a bug in the mucked program. I just changed my config file to try and get them closer to a proper location until the bug is killed.

Edit: It was still deleting the config file with the appdata changes. BUT, once I renamed fpdb-0.12 folder to fpdb it opened fine, worked fine, closed fine and did NOT delete the config file. Guess it doesn't like it's name changed!!

This is the only Warning that i found in the logging.out:
When i click "Start autoimport" the window that says "Closing this window will close the HUD" (or something like that) appears.

OK, this was a fairly brainless screwup on my part, I was making it smarter when it can't find a config file, but made it use the .example file no matter what.

I have pushed the fix to my repo, so this will be fixed in the next snapshot. Meanwhile, you can work around this fubar by:

1) rename the HUD_config.xml.example file in case you need it later
2) copy your working HUD_config.xml file to HUD_config.xml.example (in the same folder as fpdb.py). LOL, if it wants to use the .example file, just let it.

Towards the top of the import screen you will see some windows that have "YOUR SCREEN NAME HERE" or something like that. You need to click the browse button and navigate to your HH folder. Then click start.

Already did it. I figured if it wanted "example", i'd give it its choice... it just didn't know it was really the config file... It works fine for now.

Not to worry, I've only screwed up about 8 times today trying to make the damn new colored note box bigger than the default on Stars new update. Thought I could just resize it and the mask file.... wrong!!!

Did that, still no HUD.
I'm pretty sure i did it the first time too, because there are my stats from the first try in the 'Player Stat' Tab and the HHs get archived in the specified Archive Folder.

Sorry if I'm asking the same questions that somebody else (or I) already asked. Do you have a file named "HUD-error.txt" in the folder that you start fpdb from? Or, better yet, just search your hard drive for that file. What's in the file?

I turned off the Aero Theme and now i see the mucked Cards and have the FPDB Menu on the Table, but still no HUD Stats.
If it doesn't work with the Aero Theme it would be useless for me anyways, because i'd use TableNinjaFT to play and i have stacked tables.

Everything was working fine... till the Stars update, which should have no bearing on my problem. All of a sudden, my hud stats "seem" to only be picking up the current days stats. It's not just the session stats, because that's too small, but it's not the "A" I have the config file set to.

And ALL my config files are identical. I have both the config and the example file the same (did "save as" to make sure) and those two files are in the pyfpdb\ folder... They are also identical and a copy is in the appdata\fpdb\ under my user name. So, I have literally four identical copies with the above info. But, I can close the site, relog in go to another table and it will show only today's stats. Not the session, the whole day for that level. I'm going bonkers trying to fix this.... help!!

When I run a Players Stats report, all the stats show up perfect, so they are there in the database. I even wrote down the number of hands in a stats report. Got done playing (only 9 hands), ran another stats report and it had the correct total including the 9 hands. Went back to a table, same level, same game, different table I hadn't been at... hud showed 9 hands for the total in the database.

Please tell me I overlooked some dumb error somewhere..

I just ran a one day report on my various games. It's just showing one days stats, todays, on the hud stats. Same for the opponents, only showing one day's stats. Strange. I'm going to delete/move the HH's for today and see if that changes anything till one of you sharp guys can figure this one out.

Deleting the HH in my PS folder didn't change anything. And, I could see (when I joined a table and started auto import) that when it set up the hud in the command window, it said it was setting the hud as "A" for both myself and opponents, but it lies!!!!

Interesting to see what the coders figure on this one.... I even tried changing it to T with 10 days... it didn't care... still only today's stats. Kinda like my ex wife, no matter what I said, she did what she wanted...

Does this software still only work for pokerstars, or do other sites work too?

I think this is probably a bug Dog, I've only used the session options since they were introduced - so I wouldn't have noticed any errors that crept in to the 'all' version.

I wont be looking at code for a few days at least, and i'm convinced that I released some code in the recent snapshot i didn't intend to.

I'm going to try and nail down those last accounting errors next week and release a new snapshot before next weekend.

Stars and FTP are supported best. The Everleaf network with at least 2 skins is functional. UB/Absolute are functional for at least Holdem, as is Party. At least the import is working for Betfair too. Win2day (Boss media) also has holdem working I believe.

PKR and iPoker are in some sort of development by contributors, and Carbon Poker shouldn't be too far away.

We need hh's for other sites if you are willing to contribute.

This is very strange - if mucked cards work, then auto-import is working correctly, and something else is preventing the hud windows from popping up.

I assume you can see stats in the PlayerStats page?

The Aero theme shouldn't make a difference - i'm wondering, did you change the opacity setting to one extreme? Perhaps the windows are there, but are just invisible.

Yeah, I tried every combination of A T and S, varied days with T and even tried varying the aggregation using 2.1 with all the combos. No matter what the config file said, it always gave session stats only. That's not good when you can't get a read on opponents for at least 100 hands minimum. I rarely sit 2 hours (100 hands) at the same table. So every time I change tables, it starts the session stats for any players not at the previous table... oh well, it will be found I am sure. Yep, 19 played Hands in the playerstats tab.

Checked my HUD_config.xml and it says 'hudopacity="1.0"'


fwiw, i tried PT3 trial and the HUD didn't show either, BUT the HEM trial HUD works like a charm.

Does the current snapshot include the new Tables code? I didn't have any problems with the few hands I played on FT, and I don't play on Stars, but I do seem to recall doing some work in that area between the time that the new Tables code was forked from the old, since I did have problems with Absolute attaching to the chat window too.

ok, in that case, i take that statement back. Although there are occasionally problems like that, especially when working to support new sites (there's a specific list of window text that we do not include in the table search, to eliminate replay windows, chat windows, FPDB, etc

im struggling! when once i have downloaded the program and have extracted the program to my desktop and i open the folder and double click on setup.py to install it the "open with" option comes up asking me to choose, adobe, etc. Could someone please help direct me in the right direction?

The setup script ("setup.py") is for packaging.

Without knowing what system you are running, I can only point you to our wiki page, http://****************/apps/mediawik...e=Installation but the actual program you should be running is under the pyfpdb subdirectory.
