Is there perhaps some fine-grained setting in Xfce or X somewhere to disable focus only for the HUD windows?

With regard to the mucked cards, this setting has no effect. The problem is not that the mucked cards steal the focus (they don't); it is that they appear on top of the window stack. My thought is that you would get correct behaviour if the mucked cards windows were permanently present but invisible, that is if by default they contained an image consisting of pure background (i.e. show-through).

I don't know of any way to selectively apply the Xfce focus stealing thing. There might be a way to have the HUD turn that feature off on startup and back on when exiting.

The mucked card windows are only created once and are hidden (gtkwindow.hide()) when not being shown. Your suggestion is one of the ideas I have been toying with--always leave the mucked windows in place, but set their opacity to 1 when I don't want them shown. This will not work for Linux users who don't use a compositing window manager. The other work-around involves keeping track of what poker client is on top and only showing when the table is on top.

Erasthones - I have exactly the same phenomenon as Eleatic Stranger wrt mucked cards being shown superimposed from tables below on windows above. I turned off focus stealing in xfce and that was fine.

Your second solution sounds like the "right" way to do things - but maybe harder?

Multitable robustness: I had a v flakey internet last night so only managed to get to 6 tables before teh internetzz failed. But fpdb wasn't the problem & didn't crash - will try to test robustness more tomorrow.

Hi Joe--

We currently can import HORSE HH files but the HUD doesn't support mixed games yet--it will get confused when the game changes. Supporting mixed games in the HUD is one of the things I'm working on now.

People have installed fpdb on Mac OSX and there is some info on that in the wiki. None of the developers own a Mac, so none of us have tried that. Also the HUD doesn't support the Mac, because we don't have the code to find the poker client windows on the screen. I suspect that someone who knows his way around OSX and knows a little python could write the code needed to support the Mac in an afternoon. I would be happy to work with a Mac programmer that wants to take on that little job.

TBH, mix-games/stud players usually play less tables for obvious reasons, so a HUD isn't all that important, at least to me is isn't.

OK I saw that page, but it's Chinese to me. I dont know where to begin or what language it is in. So, it's probably too much to ask for a noob like me.

I have the tracker working on OS X, if you have specific questions about the install instructions I should be able to help. Feel free to PM me.

@devs: As for HUD on Mac, I did read through the python docs that were linked earlier but I just don't have the background to easily get the window title and locations. I have someone who I'll talk to later today who may be able to help with that part.

Can anyone confirm or deny the right click stats? Theres about 4-6 c-bet numbers and they seem low compared to pt type numbers. Is this correct? Obv any number is based on its relevance. I'm just not convinced without r

I use windows, postgresql and 0.10 version of the program. Gradually has at random understood with the basic functions but so till now and could not adjust stud muck window. And version 0.11 does not work, the program is started but hud is not displayed. Who can lay out the config at whom all works to compare?

One of the tests I did before uploading this release was to unzip it in a fresh folder, do the minimum editing on the HUD_config.xml (= screen names, folder names and database parameters) and play some poker. That test worked. If you suspect the config file, you should be able to find the problem by comparing it with the example or just edit the example.

What site? tournament or cash? anything in HUD-error.txt? What stud games?

I could put my config file on the wiki, but after I take out my screen name and database details, it just looks like the example.

i tested in 7 card stud cash in PokerStars, windows Vista. To begin with would like to specify, the folder with version 0.11 occupies 1.31 mb, 0.10 - 3.44 mb and now a question, whether it is necessary files from archive 0.11 to replace files from a folder 0.10? Well that is as
though to update.

Short answer is no. That data is in the db and needs fairly small changes in the sql to get at it. This is on my list of things to do, but I probably won't start on it until after we update the database structure to add more stats, 6 max, etc. I have not yet figured out how I want to support that through config, etc.

Are you using the 0.11 release zip file from sourceforge or did you get it from one of the git repos? which repo?

I am PMing my email address. Could you mind sending me one of the offending files. If I need to pass it on to one of the devs I will replace your screen name with "BigPlayer86".

unging sql that its correct
There has not been a large effort to validate the stats--there has been hand checking, but that can easily leave gaps.

fpdb caches all hud stats in a table creatively named hud_cache. The sql that pulls from hud_cache is very simple and almost certainly correct. If there is a problem in the c-bet stats, it is likely to be in the analysis--where the parsed hand is analyzed and c-bet/c-bet opportunities are counted.

Hello everybody,

I am still alive but had a lot work to do and nearly no spare time.
But I recognized that you released verion 0.11 nice!

Questions:
1. Is there a way that the positional stats could be displayed
instead of the "standard right click stats"?

2. If the answer to (1.) is no, will it be implemented?

One suggestion:
Eratosthenes (or any other active forum member which also develop fpdb)
have you thought about creating a signature which possibly contain the link to the project site and the wiki?
Just an idea

I think it should not matter that your windows install is Russian. Russian hand histories would break the importer. The git repos are another way to get the fpdb files (instead of the release zip file on sourceforge). I think using git is easier and you get our most recent work, instead of waiting for a release. My git repo is here. The fpdb git how-to is here.

The online translator is doing OK.

When I get back to my office I will look at that error again, keeping in mind that your windows language is Russian.

No, but it would be pretty easy to do.

I'll add this to the TODO list--I'm not sure when this will bubble to the top. One of the things I have been working on is an interface that makes things like this really easy (really easy if you know a little python, that is). And what you mean by this is the player's vpip/pfr/etc sorted by postion??

good idea--I'll ask a mod if this would be OK, considerting that I post in other forums besides Software.
