Does anybody else experience bugs (hud not appearing on actual table but rather behind it as separate programs) after the latest Pokerstars software updates?

Yes.
So far -- for me at least -- the cure seems to be as follows:

1. When Pokerstars offers an update, close fpdb until the update completes
2. When the update is complete, open the Pokerstars client to ensure it works
3. When you're satisfied, close the PokerStars client
4. Before opening PokerStars again, open fpdb

Some of those steps probably aren't entirely necessary, but that sequence does work.

Yeah, the cure seems to be exactly that for me too.
For anyone else having problems, make sure to open fpdb before running Pokerstars.

You only need to do this on the first time right after an update.
After that, opening PokerStars first, then fpdb seems to be OK

Hello. I change the HUD_config file using the notepad stats. I save, but at the same time in hud the staistics does not change and the old stats are displayed. ver 0.41.0-rc7. win10

Attempting to use "Maintenance|Dump database to textfile" crashes fpdb instantly.

Any ideas? using mysqldump.exe accomplishes the task though.

This came about when I noticed that there is a discrepancy between data held in the sessionscache table and the same information from queries that sum the handsplayers table directly. Typically, some -- 9 -- files when imported did not get included in sessionscache.

Now that I've dumped the db, I'll try to re-import the files to see if they're then included. The problem is (I suspect) that importing the same hands again will just be detected as duplicates and ignored.

There is no method that I know of for rebuilding the sessions cache, but it should not be too difficult to write a mySQL script to do that

Hi Everyone,

I downloaded the FPDB a week ago and love it. It has inspired me to learn how to read and write Python despite being a total technophobe. After looking around myself for specific information on the software and not finding much, especially in English, I have a lot of questions. My “problems” are as follows in order of decreasing importance.

1. Only the HUD works for me. The rest of the program is basically blank: I can’t see any charts or graphs or any sign that my games (all HU SNG) have been logged, nor is there a replayer. I use Windows and always click the “run fpdb” file. Should I click elsewhere to find tracking software results?

2. I would love to add text to the HUD to indicate which stat is which for a quicker visual reference, more like the commercial HUDs. I would also like to change the HUD box size and text sizes. Does anyone know of a basic tutorial on Python AND where what I would need to access to add text is located in the fpdb download?

3. It would be cool if the stat percentages changed color according to frequency, again like a commercial HUD.

Again, I love the HUD but I’m eager to use the tracking software to review my sessions with replayer and analyze my winnings compared to my true EV. A rundown of how to add text to the HUD stats would be amazing and the color thing is really not important.

Does the wiki give you any help?

What version of Windows?
What database option?
I'm using Windows 10 with all updates, MySQL, and fpdb v 0.41.0-rc8 and I do have tournament graphs.

Try this:
Open fpdb -- the way you are doing it should be fine.
Click on "Tournament" from the main menu, then "Tournament Graphs"
Leave everything selected, then click "Refresh Graph"

Let us know what you find...

I found the same problem yesterday and have a partial fix. I didn't even know the 0.41 branch existed until yesterday?

MySQL support seems to be especially buggy in 0.41 - I've been submitting pull requests, but at this point new fixes would conflict until the maintainers merge my fixes.

If you don't want to download this, you can just check out the last commit I made and apply it manually (message me if you need help).

With this fix applied, it no longer crashes immediately upon trying to process the "Actions" table - but it hangs on the "Hands" table. I suspect that it's a memory thing? I'll investigate at some point.

I’m an idiot and had not downloaded MySQL despite having read the wiki saying it’s necessary. When I saw that the HUD worked, I assumed that my computer had a default program capable of running and displaying the information.

np), also i use standart Sqlite. i dont know why some ppl use another database (just dont know, may be another is better, but sqlite is works fine for me). I've try to use mysql, but i've could not install it.

It says it supports Microgaming, yet i cant find it in the preferences list and it doesnt work to import the files either. Am I doing something wrong?

The HUD worked just fine for me, but when I went to HUD Stats Settings and saved it the way I liked it, it just doesn't show anything anymore. The HUD program runs, with the little window, but it just doesn't show any stats. How can I fix this? I could just reinstall and it would probably work as before, but it just had way too many stats for me and was slow to use in play.

I didn't edit any config file at all, I just used the feature within software, like I mentioned. Do I HAVE TO edit a config file?

i dont understand on 100% that you mean, but "Cash>Ring player stats" may be?
