Hi all

Looking for some help with getting the FPDB HUD working.

Installation of FPDB seemed fine. Bulk import of previous hand histories was okay, and auto-import looks like it's working, but no HUD overlay.

I'm running Windows 10, FPDB v0.40.5. 'HUD_config.xml' is stored here: C:\Users\Adam\AppData\Roaming\fpdb.

I'm playing MTTs and STTs at PokerStars.

I'm guessing the problem is me and something that I need to do but haven't done, so hopefully there'll be a simple solution.

I saw this and cant figure out what I need to do to have acr or bcp working from the winning network on windows?

Are there extra files I need or do I need to edit things? If you can at all give me a basic nudge in the right direction that would be great

Hmm. The most likely explanation is that the launcher doesn't work on 10.12 - I built it on 10.9, it was known not to work on 10.8, but I believe people did have success on 10.10 and possibly 10.11.

If this is the case there's probably not much you can do. It's possible there's another explanation. You could check in ~/.fpdb/log to see if it generated any useful logging output.

I helped someone get Chaz' latest code running from source on windows so they could import Winning Poker hands. Apparently it worked for them after a couple of hours of us messing around.

That's about all I know about it.

Oh, edit: before they signed off they did mention the HUD wasn't working for them yet. I can probably guess why but I haven't seen them again since to troubleshoot it.

Is it something I can work with you on please? PM, SKYPE or here?

If it imports I'm not sure what you're asking for. If it just errors, well, we'd need to see some example HH to fix the problem.

This fix is in my repo on github. It'll get pulled into the next version once that get's built

You can import the hands for tracking stats, but the HUD will not work with Zoom.

You can read the notes there. Huge credit for Chaz for motivating me to get this out, and all the work he does on the code.

It's been a long time between releases and I feel bad about that, so my intention is to release more frequently in the near future. If you find any problems with this release (there are probably many), or have any old issues that we didn't fix yet, now is the time to hassle me about it!

Edit: oh yeah, Chaz has made some changes to the database so you will get a warning dialog on startup and will have to wipe your existing database before you can use rc8. Maintenance -> Create or Recreate Tables.

Does fpdb support hive network? Mostly interested in omaha, telesina and 5 card draw A-7 support...

It should, albeit a bit dodgy. I hacked support for Hive into the Pokerstars parser, so you'll need to put your Hive screen name in as your pokerstars one in FPDB. I'm not sure if the HUD works.

I should really do that properly at some point...

I see there is support for WPN under rc8 but I'm not seeing it under site settings... Is there something more required?

Oh right, a bit of an oversight on my part there. You need an updated config file, so if you've ever run FPDB before it won't work.

Go find your config file and rename or delete it, and FPDB will generate a new one for you next time you run it, with the required bits in.
