First post on 2+2.

I have been using FPDB v.0.40.5 for over 2 years now in only cash games, with great success. HUD and all aspects for cash games have been amazing!

However, in the last month I have started to step up my S&G and tournament play. Unfortunately I have had horrible success trying to get the HUD to work.

Here is an example of the first hand from a S&G from the HUD log:

Is your PokerStars client language set to English?

Hi Chaz, my language setting is for Spanish, but it saves all of my hands in English... HAHAHA, I'm a gringo living in Chile and a great way to improve my language skills is by playing poker and getting all my feedback from the PS client in Spanish.

I will try changing my client language to English, right now and report back immediately with the results.

I changed my PS client to English and it works awesome! I guess I will have to improve my Spanish skills some other way.

I've recently changed the hud layout and now when I launch the hud the stats do appear only are they behind/under the table. So if I move the table to a different location you can actually see the stats but they move back and disappear again. Any idea how I can fix this?

In windows try to run FPDB as administrator. It helps it in the same situation.

excellent , that solved it. Also all the hud changes have gone through nicely.

Other question. is there a way to make the Hud larger. the shown text is rather small and with multiple tables its sometimes difficult to read.

Every time I refresh the Ring Player Stats window, the Hand Breakdown covers all but 2 games and I have to drag it down to see the others.

Can I somehow get rid of the hand breakdown or force it to stay down?

can you explain to dumb people like me what is Microgaming parser? Id like to use this HUD on Microgaming but I see its current not supported?

Hey people,

i have a problem with importing hands with fpdb.

I use ubuntu 16 LTS
i use fpdb version 0.40.5 (git, as instructed by the wiki,)
fpdb is connected to the mysql server
i recreated the tables and database
my HH is from FullTilt

now for the problem:
when i start the bulk import the import starts in the gui, meaning the "importing" animation starts etc.
but
it takes forever and not a single hand is imported.
terminal is showing: "global lock taken ..." but there is no progress
i suspect there is a problem in the GuiBulkImport.py but i am not sure

i would appreciate any help or tip or hint in the right direction!

btw when i start fpdb the terminal states :" missing config section raw_hands "

Hmm, looks like an old version. New version may or may not have the same problem, I'm not sure.

The parsers are the things that read your hand histories. There is one for Microgaming but it seems Microgaming is not in the list of sites. I'm not really sure what's happening there, I have never touched the Microgaming parser so I have no idea if it works or not. You could try putting your microgaming details in for some other site and see what happens - it's not a great idea generally but as long as you pick a site you never play on it should be fine. I think. Probably. Report back!

Check the log files (help menu-> log files). That last part sounds to me like you might have a corrupted config file. You could try moving yours and FPDB will generate a new one - I think it's stored in ~/.fpdb/HUD_config.xml on linux.

Oh, and you're using an old version thanks to the old wiki. There is newer code at my github or Chaz's. However the dependencies are different, so you may want to put off that headache for a bit.

After many initial problems with getting FPDB to work (turns out the trouble was MySQL, or rather, how bad I am at using it) the program has been working very well.

With one exception.

In "hand viewer" and "positional stats" under "Cash", my 2nl zoom and 2nl regular ring are shown together, making the stats cluttered. Usually I believe I should be able to change between the limits of 2NL and 2NL Zoom, but in the "limits" tab of both menus, there exists only 2NL, which both are apparently counted as.

1) is this a known issue?

2) how would you propose to resolve it?

I suspect you are using an old version. 0.40.5? You might try my latest version, available here, if so. I believe this was fixed. If I'm wrong and you're already using a recent version, do let me know and I'll investigate further.

You were 100% correct, I was using 0.40.5.

I downloaded your newest version, and got it working, but to my surprise the issue persisted.

As you can see here, it recognizes that I have played both NL2 and NL2 Zoom, but in the left collum, I am unable to select either seperately, and it's the same for Cash 'Handviewer' and 'Graphs' as well.

still can't get ignition hands working on fpdb. i updated to the latest version i saw a few posts ago but no luck

Oh, I see what you mean. I misunderstood your original question. Unfortunately I can't think of a good way for you to work around this. Is it really a big deal? I am lazy and looking for excuses to avoid increasing the complexity of the hand filters.

You are free to answer whichever questions you want, if this is overly complicated then it is obviously not worth effort

It probably wouldn't be super complicated (probably), I just don't have much time for FPDB nowadays and there are other things I should be doing first when I do.

I'm unfamiliar with ignition, from noise in this thread I gather it's a new bovada thing? Presumably this means a new hand history format, or something, which means someone has to add it to FPDB before it will work. I am not volunteering.

No link, just saw it on a screenshare with a friend. I suppose I could just ask him If I get anything useful from him, I'll keep you posted.
