Hi

i just started using fpbd because it seems the only one to work with "seals with clubs".

I have a problem with some tables where the autoimport get errors (and bulk too)... whether nlhe or plo. It looks like HU table are ok and some times other tables work too...

Is it a known issue? Can i do something with my config or is it a problem of the hh of seals that changed of format?

I have been publishing some beta releases that have, among other things, some SWC fixes that should solve your problem. https://github.com/philroberts/FPDB-for-OSX/releases

I'm was trying to get the HUD working last weekend but couldn't. Perhaps someone can offer some guidance.

I am on windows 8.1. Read some stuff a couple of pages back about no postgreSQL support in windows or something, but the hand history, graphs etc are working fine. Do I need to install MYSQL? Is there a setup guide somewhere?

Sorry if these are obvious questions but there's a lot to read through on this thread and the docs I found through googling weren't too helpful.

What site are you playing on? What happened when you tried to use the HUD? Under the Help menu there is an option to view Log Messages - does the fpdb log or the hud log have anything that looks useful?

Hi phil,

Playing on pokerstars. Clicked the begin hand tracking button and fired up the pokerstars app. Opened a table and saw no overlay whatsoever.

I tried configuring the hud stats before that, is it possible I messed them up?

I will check the log tonight and post any errors I'm at work right now.

You can reset the config by deleting the config file and running FPDB again. You can find the config by looking in Help menu -> About, License and Copying.

I posted not too far upthread about editing the config directly, but get the basic HUD working first.

Is Zoom not supported? I played a SNG today and the hud came to life after a few seconds. The stats boxes were all in the wrong places but I figured out after a few hands that you can drag them around.

Thanks for the help. The default HUD is good enough for me for the time being (vpip, pfr, cbet and steal are about all I can cope with atm

so I won't mess with the config any more.

Correct, zoom is not supported. If you have set a preferred seat in pokerstars you need to tell fpdb about it so it can put the HUD boxes over the right seats. Like this, but instead of searching for "seals" search for "PokerStars".

Wondering if the hand viewer is broken or if I did something wrong. The little table with all possible hole cards as buttons doesn't seem to do anything. I've never gotten it to work (in the two months I've had it) but I'm wondering if there's anything special I need to do to get it working.

Thanks for all the assistance! It's working nicely now in SNG and non-zoom cash games.

One more question - is there a way to show only my stats for the current session? I'd like to know what my table image might be during that game rather than historically.

Also is there a donations page? I would be happy to make a small donation once I've increased my BR to compensate the creators for all their work

Many people worked on FPDB to make it what it is. I wouldn't feel good about taking donations for their work.

You can't show EV in the hand viewer. I have plans in that direction but there are lots of other things to do first.

Hive support was wedged into the PokerStars converter. So put your Hive screen name/hh directory in the pokerstars site settings.

There has been another fix since my last release to support Hive tournament tables with the HUD, so if you play tournaments stay tuned for an update.

Is there a guide showing HOW to run fpdb from source?
I have installed python, mathplotlib, numpy and gtk, yet when I try to execute:

python run_fpdb.py
nothing happens. I just get bounced out to the command prompt.
No tracebacks, no nothing.

Also, in database.py are the lines
if backend == Database.MYSQL_INNODB:
import MySQLdb

There is no such module MySQLdb that I can find.
Where do I get it?

The compiled fpdb runs fine, though.

Are you on windows? If so:

packaging/windows/py2exeWalkthroughPython27.txt has some instructions on installing all the stuff needed. It's mostly aimed at people building the binary package but it has some nods to running from source. It is not exactly what I use for my releases and has not been updated for my Qt stuff. It should be fairly accurate if you are using 0.40.5 source.
