hi sorrow,

have been using fpdb for the past few months -- amazing work you guys have done on it. it had quit working with the new pokerstars update, but i came here and you guys already had a working patch.

the new hands-viewer feature looks promising -- that's the one big missing feature, i guess. anyway, another feature suggestion i have is "sell stop alerter". basically before starting your session's play, set-up the max-loss in bb/dollars in fpdb -- once that sell-stop is hit a pop-up window shows up. saves the hassle/tension of checking your graph constantly.

anyway, thanks again for the code-team for this great piece of software.

I've added a feature request at http://****************/apps/mantisbt...iew.php?id=126 - no guarantees that it will get done, but if you follow the issue you'll be alerted if there is any progress.

I should post part of the release notes with regard to the hands viewer:

Hand List Viewer - New Feature:

A list of filterable hands for mining your hh’s for strengths, weaknesses or just interesting hands.
Usage: I recommend loading up a couple of sessions in the the session viewer, then double-click the session to open the replayer.
Warning: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOAD YOUR ENTIRE DATABASE. 500-1000 hands is going to take a little while to load, and take a decent amount of memory. I dont recommend pushing it.
Should work for all games, though some of the columns might still need some review (eg. Position col for Stud)
Most of the normal filters will function as expected.
Double click the hand to load in the Hand Replayer

Also the Replayer will crash (and take FPDB with it) if you try to load a Stud or Draw based game.

Ok, downloaded the newest version, created a new database, created tables, bulk imported a couple hundred hands (I assume successfully as it said "importing" and moving green bar then said Import Complete), but the Ring Player Stats or Graphs tab doesn't open.

Any idea why?

Many thanks for the developers that made this wonderful software.
Is there any way to avoid PostgresSql and install SQlite. I can't seem to make the hud work at the table. It shows me a "0" on each player, but no stats. What can I do? Can someone please give me some ideas? Thanks, and sorry if this question was asked before.

I had the same problem. The log complained about sites Win2Day and Carbon. I deleted all references to those in hud_config.xml and everything worked.

Not opening at all

By removing the old config, you mean this, right?

in which case, yes I did.

Where do I find the logs?

edit: ups, remembered when removing logs some files couldn't be removed, just tried removing again with fpdb closed, reinstalled and everything works, thx!

A new pre-release snapshot is available:

If you are running a recent snapshot, the database and configuration do not need to be recreated.

i am windows 7 user, hand viewer is loading blank page for me. New version seems to run slower than previous version, is that because of the extra features? Created a new database and HUD_config, everything is running smooth now in Pokerstars.

Is there any chance to remove "Hand breakdown for all levels listed above" from settings? I mean its filling with razz and holdem hands... its so laggy. I still wanna see profit for each games I play but not hands.

i guess we cannot import old stars hands with the new version right? it hangs

and most importantly what did u change? i copied my hud config on the new version and i have no hud for 27draw

please ignore my previous messages. i found out that if i have the hand history file open then fpdb reports getting hands but doesn't do anything. with the file closed everything works. weird

We use a couple of metrics to tell if a file has been updated, size and datestamp.

I'll speculate that the datestamp is being changed (either by site or you), but you are locking the file against us reading it properly.

I dont know if its intended but I played some (over 20) $7 Hyper turbo Omaha HUSNG and they are listed one tournament at time instead of one spot at tourney stats tab. Kinda hard to see ROI and how many games you have played.

two problems:
1) called a raise preflop (car_0) stat doesn't work...
if it is included in the HUD stats, all the black windows become empty small black rectangles! the only visible window that remains is the "FPDB menu - right click etc." window
2) if I save the HUD layout, and then I minimize the pokerstars window, when the window turns back highlight all the HUD windows in the upper left back overlapping each other
