You are running the Carbon windows client in parallels right?
I'm using a VM [virtualbox] as well. XP in Linux and other than the HUD, seems to
import fine.
Cut and paste the German text you got into babelfish and see what it translates into maybe.....

First of all I would like to thank you for this great program, bin using it for 6 months now and I love it!

Recently I switched from cashtables to SNG's and MTT's. I encountered the following problem, FPDB is somehow unable to recognize where I busted, and whether or not it was ITM, this way it cant calculate the ROI, ITM% etc. is there any way I can fix this? I use FPDB 0.26, on a windows 7 laptop, exclusively playing on Stars.

Also, when I try to make a tourney/sng graph, I'm unable to select certain limits/buy in levels, like in the cashtable graph section. It just shows all my tourneys ever played in one graph, this sucks, coz I played quite alot playmoney tourneys with friends and stuff, and I'm unable to filter them out now. I would really like to see the graph of one certain type of tournament/SnG, for example, only the graph for the 1 dollar mtt's I played, or 1 dollar 45man Sng's etc. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi,

Firstly, I assume you're not a German speaker. The fpdb language can be set in the configuration file. (appdata/roaming/fpdb/HUD_config.xml)

Search for the option ui_language and change it to read ui_language="en"

Save the configuration file and restart fpdb.

Assuming that you have upgraded the software, that looks like a popup because the database structure has changed.

You will need to re-import the hands into the database (using bulk-import option), but before doing that, select database/create recreate tables to delete all the existing data.

Thanks for the tips, but I am a German speaker. Wondering how FPDP found out, but doesnt matter. I change it to English though. I have never imported any hands, the first day I tried was 10 days ago, and it didnt work till today (talking about carbon).

If you don't specify a language for fpdb in the configuration, it defaults to the windows local language setting.

There are fixes for carbon in the latest snapshot, if you haven't already downloaded it.

Having the exact same issue with Carbon: HUD not working. It was working about a week ago, now it stopped. Weird.

Oh and I went to check my "App Data" folder for Error Logs, and there is no FPDB folder. I have been trying to figure this out for days. I tried uninstalling and installing from scratch, but it still had my previous settings saved! I deleted every file associated with FPDB too.

I can't figure this out. I guess I'll just keep an eye on this forum.

You had the HUD running? What version?

If you do Help>About in fpdb, you will see where the program is getting
it's configuration from...

Hi there I've been trying to set this up for a couple of days, got it importing my PL5CD hands tonight from Pokerstars. Very impressive to see all the graphs & stats for 5CD - nice work! Unfortunately I haven't had the same luck with my BOSS network hands.

I thought I read in the blog post following the 20111017 snapshot that 5CD was supported on BOSS, is this the case ?

If you are running from source and want to keep up with the latest developments, then Steffens repository isn't the best one to track.

git://git.assembla.com/fpdboz.git is my tree. I've generally got most of the developers changes up within a week.

This is almost certainly because you have the site switched off.

Main->Site Preferences.

This sounds like you have hh's that are crashing FPDB. If you can send those through i'll make sure they work with the next release. PM me.

Tournament or cash game?

For Carbon this shouldn't happen if cash...

I think i've just figured out the issue. Watch this space.

Tournament support has historically lagged in FPDB.

Do you have the Stars option to save Tourney Summaries?

Import->Tournament Results Import and select the files saved in that directory.

The first time you start FPDB it creates the database tables. That format changed between the versions.

Looking at the code it shouldn't make a difference for Boss if the game is FL or PL.

quick question on how the HUD saves to the database. sorry if it is poorly worded

When you are in a session, does the HUD save the hand history to the database after the session or after each hand? or do you have to save the hand history file and import it yourself?

The Autoimport saves to the database immediately after each hand is complete. This information is then sent to the screen HUD.

Autoimport is used to import live-play; the bulk import option is used to import games which are already completed (the hand history).

I'm not too familiar with poker terms so just to clarify, it saves after someone has won a round and not before, correct? so theres no way i can get the HUD to read the board cards until after the round.
currently I've been working just with the hhs that I've imported and want to know my limitations for the HUD

I had never selected the option to save Tourney Summaries, my bad, thought FPDB could extract that information from the HH.

Anyway, I selected the option now, and got a few .txt file tournament results, but when I try to import them through the ''import tournament results'' tab, nothing happens, I selected the map where they can be found in, clicked on stars, and when I click on import, nothing, it just sits there, got any idea how to fix this? I removed the config file, tried pretty much everything I could think of.

This isn't worth it. It worked great for awhile and now doesn't work. That's why its free I guess. To pay $50 for a program that works, and allows me to focus on poker instead of software troubleshooting is sooo worth it. PT or HEM seems like the only way to go.

Looking to give this a try. Does it work for MintedPoker (which I believe is part of the Everleaf?)?

Should be fine for Minted, I was just running the current git tree on Poker4Ever on a few different games. Decided to un-retire for a few hours while i was sick as a dog this week. Looks like it's working as well as it ever did, if not better.

Hi, Software is working ok but I got no HUD at all. I play at W.Hill (Fr & 6 max). This is what I´ve found in the log hud.exe file:

hud : ERROR Can't find table Aldgate, 46540671
hud : ERROR HUD creación: mesa Aldgate, 46540671 no encontrada, ignorando. (not found, skipping.)
hud : ERROR Error: self.window doesn't exist.

hud : ERROR Error: self.window doesn't exist.

hud : ERROR HUD create: table name Albuquerque, 46540661 not found, skipping.

And keeps on, without finding the tables. I got hand history files in english and spanish. Hands tracked show no errors.

BTW: I can see stats & graphs in FPDB viewers but no HUD. 3 last snapshots I found the same problem.

Any ideas or help?

Stars has been inconsistent in how much information it publishes to the hand histories.

In recent snapshots this was removed. It will return soon as there is work going on to allow this consistently between all sites.

What is the exact text in the table window?

FPDB is currently searching for 'Aldgate, 46540671' and 'Albuquerque, 46540661' and not finding that.

When I play there´s no errors, no crashes, simply don't show the HUD.

'Aldgate, 46540671' and 'Albuquerque, 46540661' are the names of the tables I was playing.

FPDB log says: can´t find where the tables are, to show the HUD. So the HUD never appears.

Errors I put in the other post were taken from FPDB/pyfpdb folder /HUD_main.exe file.

Is there a way I can fix this error?

FPDB is looking at all of the titles for open windows. Is 'Aldgate, 46540671' part of the window title _exactly_ ?
