Hi Dog, the menu position can now be changed without hacking the code.

Open up the config file, and look for the section which begins " <site HH_path" for your site.

Check that section and see if there are options like xshift="0" yshift="0". If they are missing, just add them and save.

Now use fpdb/main/preferences to set the values you want. you will need to restart fpdb after changes.

These are offsets so to move the menu up, make yshift negative, and to move it to the right, make xshift positive.

Here is the line from my config, if that helps to clarify

Quote:
<site HH_path="C:/Program Files/Full Tilt Poker/HandHistory/gimick/" bgcolor="#000000" converter="FulltiltToFpdb" decoder="fulltilt_decode_table" enabled="True" fgcolor="#FFFFFF" font="Sans" font_size="8" hudopacity="1.0" screen_name="gimick" site_name="Full Tilt Poker" site_path="C:/Program Files/Full Tilt Poker/" supported_games="holdem,razz,omahahi,omahahilo,stu dhi,studhilo" table_finder="FullTiltPoker" xpad="1" xshift="0" ypad="0" yshift="-30">

We don't support Bodog atm, and I'm not aware of anyone having such plans at this time. However, if there is a handgrabber you can use, feel free to email some histories (anonymised if you wish) to the mailing list or talk to us in IRC, and someone might take a look at it.

Before I started playing today, I logged into one game and started the hud. Remember I have hero stats set for one day, and the hud set for -3 so that the hh's and hud change dates at the same time. When the hud appeared after the first played hand, it showed me with 122 hands on the new day, 12-30. I sat out and ran a stats report for the 30th. I showed 104 hands. I ran a graph, and it showed 104 hands.

As I mentioned last night, I was in one game (for testing) when the timezone was to kick in at -3 (9pm local). That seemed to work, other than when the first hand ended, Stars had created a new file for their new date, but it instantly showed me with the 17 hands. It must have something to do with the split file, same table, just the HH20101029 Rosetta II vs the new one HH20101030 Rosetta II.

I'll check it tonight but with a complete shutdown before the time change, and will sit down at a table not played at before the time change, and will report back here.

BTW Gimick, thanks for the menu moving tip. I changed the config and it popped it right where I wanted the first time.

Hi Arsil,

No it doesn't seem to working properly on linux - if you rightmouseclick and select reposition, it does make the change, I think.

Happy New Year's

It's almost 4:55 pm here, but most of the developers on GMT are just minutes away from the new year 2011. I hope all of you have a prosperous and healthy new years. Thanks to all that have built FPDB and the thankless hours you've all spent dedicated to giving us a free database.

Take a moment this year and try and do two especially nice things for someone. When they ask you, "why", just tell them they have to promise to do two nice things for someone else. If we all extend ourselves a little, the world will be a better place to live. It will compound and costs you basically nothing but maybe a few hours donated to help in whatever cause you find the most appealing..

Thanks... welcome 2011

I'm running the latest source version on Windows Vista. Generally, it is running smooth. The one thing strange or different, when I leave and close a table the hud remains open with the stats floating on the screen until I find and click the menu to "close this hud". It closes fine, but when I had the previous 20.906 version, if I closed the table, the hud for that table closed at the same table. Which is the correct way?

Not sure if that happened even in version 0.20.906.

Is there a way to disable the HUD mouseover popup box?
I tried removing tip="tip1", tip="", tip="none"...
Also tried popup="default" to popup="".

HUD closing/tracking appears to have been disabled for the time being, that section of code was completely re-written and eratosthenes has said that he hopes to have it fixed and enabled again soon so right now, we're in the old days on that side of things, but we're hoping that it will be much more reliable and much less crashy with respect to moving properly, closing properly, and not crashing the hud on all the tables when a table is closed.

mouseover disabling is not currently disable-able. I've just jotted that as the single item on my to do list for fpdb, however my todo list for all my other projects is -very- long, so if anyone else gets time to add an option to do that, feel free. (i don't play nearly as much poker or get time to work on fpdb, now that i'm a more professional paid programmer type)

Can you confirm which version you are running please? This support went in around Nov 4, so should have been in both 0.21-rc1 and rc2

bash-3.1$ ./run_fpdb.py
Python 2.6...

Reading configuration file /home/donoban/.fpdb/HUD_config.xml

config : ERROR Error parsing example file /usr/share/python-fpdb/HUD_config.xml.example. See error log file.

The HUD_config.xml is a copy of the example modified with my username and my db conf, what is the email section?

And when I try to rebuild the bd:Global lock taken by fpdb.dia_recreate_tables
***Error creating tables: defaulterrorhandler(36): (1005, "Can't create table './fpdb/Settings.frm' (errno: 121)")

K so I'm using HM for everything and I just installed this soft for draw games on FTP and it seems great.

I noticed there's a bug in HU games (atleat in TD HU). I can import any TD 6max HH but the soft won't import HU TD...The softs says it does but the importing itself never ends if you know what I mean...

The "mucked" module is messed up. I was playing 4 tables in a quadrant. One in each corner. The upper left was positioning the mucked cards perfect. All the other three they were jammed all over the tables screen, and off the screen. Anyone else having problems?

I have had that happen even in the previous versions. Killing FPDB and restarting it or restoring a backup of the HUD_Config.xml have worked for me.

Is this a fresh (ie. empty) MySQL database?

I suspect there is a bug on initial create. Do you have the skills to create a table in that database and retry?

Code:
CREATE TABLE Settings (version SMALLINT NOT NULL) ENGINE=INNODB;

If this doesn't work then you're probably dealing with a known MySQL bug (#26507). The file './fpdb/Settings.frm', while deleted, is still listed in the InnoDB internal data dictionary. You can fix this by running the above code to create a 'Settings' table in another database and copying the .frm file to your fpdb database. Then MySQL thinks the table exists, and recreate_tables should succeed.

Welcome Greg,

Looks like the date in the hand history is not being understood.

Could you please cut/paste a few examples from the hand history file gives this error? Just the lines which look like this is all that is needed at the moment.

Code:
***** History for hand R5-81867677-656 *****
Start hand: Mon Sep 13 00:26:26 GMT+0100 2010
To keep it anonymous, just jumble-up some of the numbers in the hand number.
