Is there a similar section for the Position, Tourney and session screens?

EDIT: DUH, nevermind. I see that now I can get tourney stat and positional stats from the ring screen and I could filter by dates to get a decent session filter. Looks good.

Session is almost certaimly broken because of a change of variable name (starttime to startTime) and unrelated. I've never opened tourney (its very new) so i'm not sure if it ever did open.

The ring viewer is not named ideally, it's not only for cash games, but it simply looks at things one hand a time. It can used for tourney hands just as well.

As for the tourney viewer, what database are you using? If you never configured something else you're on sqlite. The tourney viewer is currently only implemented for mysql though.

Yes, sqlite. I didn't expect the touney viewer to work for that very reason, but I tried it anyway just to see if the same issue with the screen name happened there too.

I updated to the new snapshot but I can not use the Tourn Loader yet. Ctrl-I did not work and neither did selecting it through the menu. I hope this helps.

After lots of messing around, I finally figured out that in the HUD the Stats for # Seats is meant to display stats as the number of players at a table join or drop. What are the odds of getting something similar but for position?

I've got a few bugs to report for the 0.20.903 versions under windows XP sp3.

Autoimport and the HUD. This bug exists in both source and exe versions.

No Hud if AI is started before first hand completes.

Starting AI before the first hand is complete results in no hud display. This can be straightened out by stopping and restarting the HUD after the first hand.

Hud freezes and the hand history file is corrupted. It's unknown which causes which???

I have read the comments about stat windows not disappearing when a player leaves and the middle-click trick...

"As a workaround, if you middle click on a player stat window , it will hide that window until a new hand history picks up a player sitting in that seat again."

However, what I am seeing is that a middle click does in fact hide the window, but it never comes back. I have to manually edit the layout in the HUD_Config to get it back. I am having better luck killing and reloading the HUD.

Not quite. Max seats is missing from FTP hh's so we have to make an educated guess based in the number of players.

I do like the idea of a hud that updates with positional data.

This sounds familiar... We know there is a bug with regenerating the hud cache at the moment, and this is almost certainly related.

We been debating this in chat and email for a couple of days now, and we dont have a good indication of what could be happening.

The HUD never touches a file except the logs, but could potentially hang the client.

The Importer only opens the hh file to read it (in RO mode - verified), then closes it again.

Does the client crash or hang when the hud hangs?

I'm using the last, not newest, non exe version, but running on Windows Vista. If I double left click the hud below the player leaving, it wipes out just their stats till the next hand history. Try that.

Thats weird. This was working for me a few days ago. I'll add it to my list of things to test.

That works. The middle click keeps it hidden though. In the config file, you can see it sets the x value to something huge like 1000 or 1800

I'll keep an eye on the double-click thing, but so far this looks like it is fine

Oh, I mentioned it somewhere before, but I am on Win7 x64, so I expect to see a few quirks. I don't mind being the test monkey which is why I am posting so often.

Ah, so it probably is becoming unhidden - it just isn't being placed anywhere that is visible.

The value isn't supposed to change when it's hidden, so we have a good indication of where the bug is.

That's a tough question to answer cleanly on the first try because when you say "client" you know just what you mean, but I don't.

What happens is the half line is printed and all active hud windows stop updating (including huds for tables other than the one involved).

I'll fire it up and see if I can get more info, in the meantime, maybe you could explain how I can tell if the 'client' is hung.

I'm waiting for the hud freeze to occur, but in the meantime I can tell you that hitting the 'stop autoimport' button kills the hud and hitting 'start autoimport' starts it right back up as if nothing happened. So if the client hosts the autoimport button, then the client is not hung, just all hud updates.

One thing that strikes me as really strange. after a hud freeze and auto off/on cycle, the hands which have been missed are imported *DESPITE* the fact that the hand history file is trashed ... so where are the missing hands being read from?

The HUD attaches itself to the FTP (client) table window, and establishes a communications pipe to the importer, which quite literally sends either '\n' (newline) or '0' (close) and that is it.

Yep, that's it. I assumed the window was "hidden" by setting the x value to something that put it off the screen. I see this often it various apps, normally setting X to -10000 or so. Not ideal, but it is still used by some developers. Regardless, sounds like you have a handle on it.

In what file should i edit the hud stats? i have tried searching for a config file but i cant find it
