I'm still trying to catch a hand that the autoimport stops on, but it's not easy to watch poker with one eye and fpdb with the other.

Just for fun, I thought I'd download the new (broken?) exe version to see if it acts the same.

Also, I've downloaded python 2.7 and though it installed, my path still contains 2.5, so apparently there are other steps to the install that I need to discover.

Anyway, I haven't forgotten this, just trying to get a good test case.

The broken exe is indeed broken
I went back to the new python running against py2.5 but was unable to notice the exact hand atr which the hud stops responding
I'll try Py2.7 tomorrow and see if anything changes

The é in your username is probably the problem. I'll investigate this and come back to you, in the meantime you could create a new Windows user with just English letters if you want.

thanks for the help, all i really need is to just know how to view my stats from the hands i imported.

note: all ive done was download the new .exe setup and i just opened it and then went straight to import bulk. maybe i didnt set it up correctly?
No you did everything right so far. Database Statistics has only recently been implemented in the snapshot/developer versions. To view your stats select one of the following from the Viewers menu:
- Graphs
- Player Stats
- Positional Stats
- Session Stats
Not all of these are useful for MTTs and SnGs.

I would think so, but I'm not sure. Give it a go, if it doesn't work just post here again or contact us another way.

The fold stats have only recently been implemented and haven't made it into the latest stable release I don't think.
For the CB stats, could you send us a hand that is not recorded correctly?

This is an Omaha08 hand on PStars. It computed the VP$IP incorrectly. It added one unit to the hands played vs dealt and it should not have, IMHO. I was the BB, no preflop raise. I never bet, never called and folded to the first bet, but FPDB added it as if I did play the hand.

Comments?? Do you agree?

Re: pyython 2.7

I just tried to do an install with 2.7, many of the libraries needed are not compiled in 2.7 compatible versions yet. Also, in Windows, there are not 64-bit versions of many of the libraries. You should be able to get it working in 2.6.5, 32-bit. Linux situation may be different, although I think there aren't 2.7 libs for GTK in Linux either.

Yes that should certainly not be counted as a VPIP, so your VPIP% should go down (unless it was at 0 already ofc). Could you re-post the full hand including the header line so we can investigate this?

Thanks

Here's the complete hand including headers. I had a suspicion and watched my vpip % and it definitely went up, rather than down. I only had a few hands due to a recent recreate on my db, so it was easy to see the percent jump up.

Thx,

Dog

Hello everyone,
Snapshot 0.20.902 is now available for download. There weren't very many changes but they were unusually significant:

- HUD works again
- Full Tilt works again
- Everleaf tourneys work again
- Strictly speaking a reimport is only necessary for some users, but it is recommended for everyone nonetheless.

Source users please download this file: http://****************/projects/fpdb...r.bz2/download
Debian/Ubuntu users can use this ready-made .deb package: http://****************/projects/fpdb...l.deb/download
Windows users can use this ready-made .exe installer: http://****************/projects/fpdb...E.exe/download

Thanks to Bostik for the .deb and to gimick for the .exe.

Please give this version a go, it should be quite reliable. In particular I'd like to see testing by tourney players and people who play on sites other than PS and FTP.

Cheers, Steffen

Yes - but you probably need to re-import your hand histories for any stat fixes.

Depending on how old the .exe your were running is, you may also need to recreate the tables.

Everleaf network support will be updating as soon as I figure out how to get back into my git repo.

Euro cash hold'em support, updated tourney support (it now recognizes hand wins).

Anyone have any Everleaf Omaha tourney histories since their last major network update in January?

Ok after several hours and loosing lots of hair I finally fixed this. Next time you feel like spending hundreds of <insert currency of your choice> on software please consider spending it on donations to supportable ie. free/libre software rather than on Microsoft license fees that come without warranty or liability, let alone support. Free/libre software has many other advantages too, PM me for details.

In any case, this will be in the next snapshot, which will probably be out by next week. Alternatively you can run the source version if you're up for it. If you want to wait keep watching this thread for the announcement or go to https://lists.****************/lists/.../fpdb-announce to subscribe for an email notification.

Hi, thanks very much for the offer
I have sent an email to the mailing list to discuss this so we can handle this in a just fashion, so please stay tuned for the moment. You can find the mailing list discussion here: http://****************/mailarchive/f...name=fpdb-main
My email hasn't actually appeared yet, the subject is "Fwd: donation offer".

As for who works on this, the people who contributed code this month (bearing in mind that code is not the only form of contribution, it's simply the easiest to track) are, in alphabetical order, using the names they use in our code management system:
Ferenc Erki
Gerko de Roo

Mika Bostrom

Since you're (presumably) not having problems there's certainly no need to update. Unless you play on FTP I don't think there's any point in updating to a newer stable release (ie. 0.20pre4, 0.20, 0.20.1).
There are however the 0.20.90* development snapshots. These introduce significant new functionality mostly (but not solely) for tournament players. They also contain many bugfixes. 0.20.902 seems very reliable so far and I expect the upcoming 0.20.903 to also be very reliable. However, they haven't been tested particularly thoroughly, so there is an increased risk of you running into bugs or crashes compared to the stable releases.

So in summary: There's likely no point in getting one of the new stable releases. The snapshots bring much improvements, but haven't been tested very thoroughly. The decision is yours
