Since steffen's last post regarding new snapshot (post #3464) i didn't see a post mentioning new snapshot's ready, thanks anyway.

What's noSSE?
I noticed that on sourceforge, where your files being hosted/mirrored, there are no explanation as to what all those files are. You guys need to remember that the end user is not a developer and may have no k nowledge of programming language and is just a poker player in the 21st century who happened to have a computer. lol

point taken M07 ! noSSE is only needed if you have an older computer, mosttimes you will not need this.

ok guys so i tried to do what you guys said and delete the file given in the error message i received:

The problem is that there is no file there at that location. i went to "my computer" and went to C: drive >Documents and Settings>Owner ....but then there is no "Application Data" folder/directory??!!?!?

Then i just ran a search looking for any file with Hud_config.xml and it found nothing.

any idea what i should do?

You need to activate the display of hidden/system files in the options of explorer

What version and language is your Operating System? (e.g. "Vista english-US" or "Ubuntu japanese")

just wanted to let u all know i got everything working smoothly....thanks to all of you guys of course!

the trick was to delete the config file(and re-installed...) as was suggested....i also fixed the HUD issues i was having by entering my seating preference into the config....its still not always aligned correctly/where i want them but its not hard at all to move them. right now everything is up and running well on pokerstars with no issues.

not only do i like the HUD layout better than HEM/PT3(including the colored HUD stats), but it runs SOOOOO much better and smoother on my system. as i said in previous posts, the main computer i am using for playing poker at the moment is extremely old(8 years or so) and performance is an actual concern even for playing poker.

thanks again for providing the poker community with useful competitive and free software tools to help improve our game.

i will check up on this thread and let you guys know of any issues or problems i experience and hopefully can contribute to the development of this software.

You said the error came when you tried to run setup - do you mean when you executed fpdb-0.20.1.exe?

Does your Windows username contain any non-english letters such as á or anything like that?

Just to be clear, which features are disabled in the no sse versions?

None. There's two differences:
- The noSSE version runs on older computers
- However, on newer computers it may run a little bit slower than the normal version

I'm running python 2.5 on Win XP Pro sp3.

I've been running the source code versions since pre4 and so far they have all exhibited a strange behavior, they lock during autoimport:

The only way I notice that it has frozen is if I'm moved to another table and the player names don't change, or if I move the window and the hud windows don't follow. All I have to do is to stop autoimport and restart it, and it catches up, but it freezes quite consistently.

Is it possible that I need to upgrade my python? or is this a known bug?

Thats pretty standard crashing behavior. If you could forward the hh on to one of the devs when it does that it would be much appreciated.

It's important to note that it's not crashing, it's suspending importation of hands. Also, the hand histories are arbitrary, it occurs for every tournament / SNG I play. I haven't tested it on ring games.

I'm playing a game right now, I'll try to spot exactly where it freezes, how do I send a hand history?

A little trick that has helped me to arrange them easier. I change the config file time from the default (I think it is "5" seconds) to something like 20 secs. Give's me a bunch of time to move and then save the locations. If I have a couple of micro tables open to do this, just make sure after you save, that you slightly move each table so it has the corrected locations. Just barely moving each open table will rearrange the saved locations you just made changes on. Then, you can move the hud around on any of them... and repeat, over and over and over...

Actually, it makes it easy with extra time. Finally, when it's the way you want, just change the config file back to 5 secs.

Alternatively you can change the import interval in the auto import tab/screen. For one-off changes such as for this it's probably easier to use that method, but if you want to always use a different import interval you should change the config file.

question,

i downloaded the program. went to import my hands from UB hand history, i selected site preference AP.

the hands said they imported successfully. now how the hell do i view them? i tried going to statistics, and it said "unimplemented: database stats"

thanks for the help, all i really need is to just know how to view my stats from the hands i imported.

note: all ive done was download the new .exe setup and i just opened it and then went straight to import bulk. maybe i didnt set it up correctly?

Thanks for the great software. It works fine except that a few of the stats displayed are the wrong values. cb1, cb2, cb3, and cb4 all show values which are way too small. ffreq1, ffreq2, ffreq3, and ffreq4 all show zero out of zero. I play plo at pokerstars. Any idea what is causing this problem?
