If on winXP, set windows explorer to show hidden files (Tools/Folder options/View/Show hidden files and folders), navigate to C:\documents and settings\username\application data\fpdb.
The config file HUD_config.xml is there.
Rename this file to HUD_config.xml.save or whatever you prefer.
Restart fpdb (run_fpdb.bat). Hopefully, all will be well.
If there are still problems, check the log files created in the application data\fpdb\log\ folder and also in the pyfpdb folder in the application installation folder.
