2) What I have to do with Postgres installed in my computer?

If you are able to do that and the grants table looks correct, then the most likely cause is that you aren't editing the correct config file. (~/.fpdb/HUD_Config.xml)

Re-run the grant mysql GRANT command, then make sure that 'flush priviledges' is run sucessfully

1) Short answer - No.
2) If you want to use Postgres (this isnt necessary) then you need to create a postgres schema called fpdb, and allow a postgres user called fpdb to have write access to said schema.

I know MySQL quite well, but I don't know postgres well enough to assist you with this unfortunately.

Pokerstars forced me to update today and now the fpdb HUD does not work. Currently using version 20100307 on Vista. Any ideas?

So Instaling FPDB it will auto install MySQL, I have about 100k hands now, how many hands will MYSQL support, or I will have no problems?????????

If you are using the latest windows version, it will automatically use SQlite, and 200,000+ hands should be fine. see this page: http://****************/apps/mediawik...all_in_Windows

Mysql will obv. handle bigger numbers of hands, and can be manually installed and configured without too much effort.

What type of games are you playing (Cash/Tourney/NL/Omaha etc)?

I don't have vista, but tested a few hands on Windows 7 ( nl cash and omahaha cash ).

Could you please take a look in the hud errors file to see if there are any clues? From memory, you should find this in your user's folder \ appdata \ roaming \ fpdb \ log \ hud-errors.txt

Are the hands still importing?

You should be able to use Help->Log Viewer too.

Okay, I was going to check the error log, but I decided to try the HUD one more time. I remembered that last time Pokerstars forced me to update I had the same problem. The first few times I tried fpdb it didn't work, but when I tried again in a few days it worked fine and has been ever since. Anyway, it worked fine all evening. It seems weird and I don't have an explanation, but it happened the same way for the last two PS updates.

Hi! th software is awsome, but there is a minor issue, when I have the window maximized, and click "Player Stats" the windows stops working like freezen, when I do this w/o the window maximized it doesn't happen,
any idea is it normal or I have some problem?

P&L against a certain opponent: Its not available through the interface, but it should be doable. Are you talking headsup? being the only 2 players giving actoin in a ring game? every hand to showdown?

Heads up is probably pretty easy, the others would be increasingly complicated but should still be doable.

The window sizing issue has finally bitten me - the whole filters panel needs to be placed into a widget that is scrollable. Not difficult - tedious though.

That doesn't happen for me. Can you maximise, click player stats, then resize the window when it appears to be freezing. It may be a window redrawing issue.

Does the HUD work for PartyPoker? I've tried to get the HUD to work, with no success, using the steps provided by the sourceforge wiki. Would the fact that it only provides Stars, FT and Carbon autoimport and filter for the autoimport thing be the reason why?

If it does work for Party, could someone outline the steps/instructions so I can get the HUD to work?

No idea where I can find the config, the only thing close to this is a Configuration application and a HUD_config.xml.example file.

I've got 9 converters at the bulk import page, of which Party is one of them. But I thought running the HUD was done using Auto Import (according to the wiki)? There is no Party site filter there for me.

Main->Preferences->Supported Sites

The auto-import just periodically runs the bulk import code - so if you can bulk import, then you have a shot at making the hud work.

when i go to run fpdb through the x window client in MacOS i am getting an error (pasted at end of post). i am not concerned about having a graph or HUD. i've properly set up the HUD_config.xml file and it is in the proper directory so i'm not sure why it isn't found. any successful mac users have a fix? thanks.

Double click the value. Make sure that to set to "True" capitalised correctly.

You can't make it go away, but you can shorten the display text

Shorten that to just "Menu" and it will be a lot less intrusive.

Activity on this project is quite slow at the moment so I can't give a date unfortunately.

How do i get UB to be an option in the auto import/HUD tab of the program? whenever i hit that to run my HUD all i see as my choices are Full tilt, Pokerstars, and Carbon.

LOLdonkaments had the same question a few posts ago.

For UB you will need to replicate the section for Absolute poker, change it to UB. Change the coverter line to UltimateBetToFpdb... and probably hope for the best.

UB has had minimal testing, and I don't believe the HUD was tested at all.

I'm not sure how many game types it supports either - i've never actually seen a UB HH file.
