Okay, the above problem is fixed. I had installed the newer Mac-Version of FPDB. The older version for Ubuntu is running fine. Thanks for your attention.

Sorry if i am reviving this thread, i need help making fpdb work on 888poker
I'm a returning poker player, this time i chose 888poker to call my new "home".
I'm enjoying it so far, however i can't make fpdb's hud work there..

I set handhistoric and tournament sumaries to the same folder since i don't know where this last one is and i'm assuming its in the same directory, i've configured the seats to always be the last one, configured it as pacificpoker but can't get it to work.

I checked out the logs and i could find some erros but i don't know what to do, some of the erros are as it follows:

2018-11-22 03:24:12,428 db INFO Failed to read settings table. - Recreating tables.
2018-11-22 05:49:16,378 fpdb WARNING site PacificPoker 888Poker missing from db
2018-11-22 06:12:58,293 filter INFO No games returned from database
2018-11-22 06:37:42,145 parser ERROR re_HandInfo could not be parsed
and some more similar erros on different hands.
I'm guessing fpdb's having problems recognizing 888poker...

Are there other FREE RELIABLE alternatives?
does anyone use fpdb at 888poker and could gimme a hand in this, please?
I've used preTu.ras setup tutorial, if there's one specific to 888poker, please link me to it.

It has a few issues, but is a must if you dont want to spend €.
Works fine for cash, but couldn't make it work with SNG or MTT games. Could a user problem though ^^.

I have been using FPDB on Linux for years.
Works just fine.
Now we can't play on Pokerstars with Linux anymore (see here).

So I play it in a Windows virtual machine.
I got FPDB for Windows. The default layout does not show "totalprofit" as the Linux one does - or used to do anyway.

So I hammered away at the HUD_config.xml and I managed to have it show it.



Except, on Linux it was really nice, positive values were green, negative ones, red(dish).
I can't seem to get it to do that on Windows. It's always white.

Any idea on how to do it?

Go to the HUD config file; open it with notepad; find your hud stats (search using ctrl F) finally edit or add color to the stats.

Its in Portuguese, but i think you can see the guy and replicate what he is doing.

I've been using this software for a couple of weeks (v0.41.0-rc8) for 5 card draw. It's working fine for Cash games but not for Tournaments. The Tournament hands are in the database because the HUD works fine but the Tournament stats Tab shows no details so I have no way of reviewing my hands or keeping track of results.

Any help would appreciated.

I have recently registered with Winamax, my question is if anyone knows if it is possible to play with the HUD of fpdb in this room.

I've got the hands history read in cash (only in normal cash, not in "Go Fast") and I can see the stats, but it doesn't load the HUD on the table.

I've always played at Pokerstars using this hud with no problem.

If anybody can get this working with the current swc poker client I'd gladly be willing to pay a bit. Since the update I put the HH file location into the software but is no bueno...

It is possible to use fpdb with Winamax. I've gotten it to work with version v0.41.0.-rc8.

Why fpdb doesnt show equity in hand replayer???

I'm also trying to get this to run on Ubuntu, but I am having limited success. Someone recently posted they were able to run this on Ubuntu though, so I'm hopeful.

Perhaps start by sharing what version of fpdb you are using, and also what version of Ubuntu you are using.

The problem seems to be something wrong in some lines that shouldnt be touched by regular user, or so I think. My ubuntu is running in spanish. May that be the problem?

Well, I managed to run the software but now I am getting nothing, just a "Help" tab with welcome info but There is no option to auto import things or any options actually, just the help tab. What now??

Are you running it from a terminal? Are there any error messages? I got quite a few error messages on 18.04 with fpdb 0.40.5.

I'm not sure the language would be an issue. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be able to load the software in English since the characters are essentially the same.

I can definitely get it to open with all the options. What doesn't work for me at the moment is graphing and the HUD.

You may want to consider upgrading to a slightly newer release of Ubuntu. I believe 16.04 may be the best for fpdb, because that was more current at the time 0.40.5 was released. I might be off with this, but I do know that a lot of the error messages I saw with 18.04 were because certain requirements of fpdb were no longer easily installable (packages were repackaged or discountinued).

14.04.6 is reaching end of life next month anyway, so why not try with 16.04?
